Ashlee Simpson-Wentz snuggles up to son Bronx Mowgli, 1, while out Christmas shopping with husband Pete Wentz on Wednesday in New York City.

The family checked out Bloomingdale’s before heading back to their apartment, where they’re staying as Ashlee, 25, performs on Broadway as Roxie Hart in Chicago.

I was in NYC yesterday and it wasn’t bitter cold during the day, he looks plenty warm. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a pic of him in a stroller. I couldn’t imagine carrying my kids around the city-she must have really strong arms lol

Not the best picture of Ashlee but concerning Bronx he looks perfectly dressed for the weather and i’m sure he wasnt outside all day. His feet are covered in what looks to be warm socks i’m sure he is fine.

I like the fact that Ashlee doesn’t find it necessary to put shoes on him to complete an outfit. Shoes on a baby are not recommended. (and I think his feet are warm)

I don’t think people are complaining just making some observations. I live in NY and it is freezing, very windy. Hopefully he is layered but really a winter coat is most appropriate rather than a sweater. My 3 year old is wearing his heavy coat everyday.

He looks warm enough! He has a thick hat, thick sweater and what look to be thick socks on… his parents are wearing light jackets. He is perfectly dressed for the weather, at least he isn’t in a summer outfit like Suri Cruise.

kira – he doesn’t look miserable, as such, to me. More… concentrating? Haha, I don’t know. I think a big part of it is that he doesn’t particularly like having the paparazzi around his son, and he’s spoken about this before. Plus, cold weather makes anyone look grumpy!

Regarding Bronx being in stocking feet: He may be the type of baby who tends to kick his shoes off practically the minute you put them on him. I once knew a woman who’s baby boy was like that, and she almost always just left his shoes in the car when she took him places, because she knew it was very likely they’d just get lost if she took him out and about wearing them (because he’d probably kick them off when she wasn’t looking!).

I’m guessing Ashlee and Pete probably do the same.
