Jessica Alba and Honor Get Cookin'

Flynet

Bundled up in a hat and hoodie, Honor Marie Warren enjoys a free ride into the grocery store from mom Jessica Alba on Tuesday in Beverly Hills, Calif.

What did Jessica make for dinner after stocking up at Whole Foods? Husband Cash Warren has the details!

“Just got hm from work…wifey @jessicaalba cooking up a storm yum – like she doesn’t already have enuf on her plate,” he Tweeted, posting a photo of the actress at the stove.

“She cooked roasted chicken & veggies, butternut squash apple leak soup…wow…Honor is going to be stoked for the leftovers.”

Honor, 18 months, is the first child for Jessica and Cash. See photos of the trio in their family album!

lol, why does she wear the scarf while she cooks?

Cute!

ritter – People don’t just wear scarfs because it’s cold. They are big in fashion right now. I’m wearing one and I’m just doing schoolwork.

I wish we ate that healthy in my house! LOL

I (personally) don’t know any kid that would be “stoked” to get butternut squash apple leak soup. LoL

But its good they are teaching Honor to eat healthy ate such a young age. Jessica was on “Lopez Tonight” and she said that she doesn’t let Honor have sugar AT ALL (at best she’ll let her have a little apple juice mixed w/ celery or carrot juice [yuck]).

Shaunie, really? Wow. Just, wow. I’m all for healthy eating but I’m also for eating bad things in moderation. Is that crazy, I dunno. Moderation teaches self control, I think. If she grows up not eating any sugar she could end up being one of those people that goes overboard once she’s grown up and is on her own.

- Robyn on

Robyn I completely agree that Honor should be exposed to sugar in moderation as well. However Honor is only what 18 months? I think it’s fine if she doesn’t get exposed to the sugar until she is a bit older. I’ve read that once you give babies fruits, they are less likely to eat the veggies because the fruits are sweeter (not sure how true that is but it makes sense) So perhaps Jessica just wants to get Honor used to all sorts of healthy foods before introducing her to sweet things.

Honor is adorable! Love her outfits! Love Jess Cash and Honor

Robyn and Laura I agree!

And I’m sure Jessica isn’t going to be able to keep Honor away from sugar forever.

Especially once she is in school it’s going to be hard for her to avoid the birthday party cake& ice cream, the bake sales, the Halloween candy, the ice cream trucks…

Jessica has said that obesity runs in her family and she learned to cook for herself at a young age to maintain her figure and healthy eating. Honor is a big girl(and I mean that by in a healthy, strong looking way) and looks like she has a healthy appetite. Kids eat what you give them, you can’t hand a child a cupcake from day one and then switch it up with artichokes when she’s 5.

i also did not introduce my son to sugar, but the first day he went to kindergarden…he came back from school and wanted sweet things, i think Jessica can keep Honor away for now, but once she is with other kids, she will def. take sugar, BTW everytime i see Honor i stop breathing becoz she’s so adorable and cute.

- True on

Wow! Jessica CAN cook! LOL! J/K. It seems like they’re always in and out of resteraunts!

They are such an adorable pair. Honor is the same age as my youngest, and I love seeing pics of her. Makes me want to go grab my little one and give her a squeeze! That age is so adorable, watching them learn and discover and become more independant. Sooo cute!

*disclaimer*- before anyone decides to rip me up, the first line was a JOKE. I was not trying to imply in any way that I think Jessica Alba didn’t know how to cook. Just clarifying b/c I know how touchy people can get about celebs. That’s all. Have a nice day. Carry on! :)

I think ever mother has their “banner-cause” with their kids… some are strictly against co-sleeping, some are strictly against TV, some are strictly against this that or the other. Apparenly Jessica feels one of her causes with her child is eating healthy – I saw DO IT! I wouldn’t be able to – but I have admiration for someone who can and does! However, sometimes I wonder if that is why we have so many weird things these days – IBS, overgrowth of yeast, allergies to gluten!?!?

Maybe introducing a child’s body to all things (even suger) isn’t so bad… that way their body is learning to deal with it all as they grow and there isn’t a shock to their system the first day of kindergarden?

With that – I think Jessica is trying really hard to be a good mommy and for that I applaud her!

The sugar debate is true to an extent unless you homeschool your kids.

Oh man that dinner sounds delish. Jessica needs to invite me over for dinner sometime :)
