Jennie Garth: Peter's 'Actions Speak Louder Than Words'

John Scuilli for use on CBB

Actors Jennie Garth and her husband Peter Facinelli can attest that absence does, indeed, make the heart grow fonder!

During a call-in interview on The Billy Bush Show, the 90210 star reveals that Peter has been clocking long hours on location filming the latest installment of the Twilight series and, as a result, has been spending less time at home with his family, including the couple’s three daughters Luca Bella, 12, Lola Ray, 7, and Fiona Eve, 3.

That said, Jennie isn’t complaining. “His actions speak louder than words,” she raves. “When he does come home, he is really tired and he flies with us across the country to be with us for a day.”

And when the family of five is reunited for one of Peter’s overnight visits, Jennie giggles that she feels the love! “He flew in last night so that I wouldn’t have to go to the back-to-school barbecue as a solo parent,” she reveals.

“We were the only parents that were snuggling at the barbecue. I don’t want to give off the wrong message to these young kids, but I was so happy to see my husband! We were kissing, you know…”

that is so sweet what a great family

They are the most adorable family, I love reading about them! I hope they never lose their passion and love for each other!

What a wonderful family! It’s refreshing to read about a couple that is still devoted to each other, and to their family, even though they work demanding schedules. Also, I don’t feel that snuggling and kissing your HUSBAND is sending the wrong message to kids. If anything, I feel that it shows that adults can be in healthy, loving relationships. Now, my opinion changes if they were doing some R rated stuff, but that doesn;t seem to be the case…

And for the record, my kids see me and my husband snuggle, hold hands, kiss, and pat each other’s backsides. They giggle and usually say “GROSS”, but they’ve also told us that they are really happy that we do that, because their friends parents don’t “like each other”.

- Amber Joy on

Cute, they seem like such happy family.

I agree, they are great. My husband and I give each other hugs and kisses in front of our kids all the time and tell each other we love each other. My 4 year old daughter always yells “Gross!” but smiles and runs over for some loving. And DS thinks it’s hilarious and usually wants some loving too. I want my kids to know how much their parents love each other.

Amber Joy – I was going to post the same thing! I think it’s a GOOD message to send to children. They have a happy, healthy marriage and that’s a wonderful example to show children.

There’s no wrong message there! They are married, that’s how it’s supposed to be!

aww I think that’s so sweet! It’s nice that even after 12+ years they are still affectionate towards each other …….

One word: AWWWWWWWWWW!

- CelebBabyLover on

I do think it is good to work at a marriage and make the time and effort to be with each other, but I also think there is a time and place for public displays of affection and at a school eventI don’t find it acceptable and I actually will request the people to cease and desist or take it private.
