Judy Reyes Welcomes Daughter Leila Rey

There’s a new addition to the Sacred Heart Hospital staff — Scrubs star Judy Reyes has given birth to a girl.

Daughter Leila Rey Valencia arrived on Friday, Nov. 27 at 7:11 p.m., weighing in at 6 lbs., 7 oz and measuring 19 inches long. Baby girl is the first child for Judy, 42, and her boyfriend, director George Valencia.

The actress, who announced her pregnancy in June, confessed to being a bit nervous about impending motherhood.

“I’ve never been a baby person; babies always scared me,” she told Pregnancy magazine. “I’ve always been afraid to drop them or hurt them.”

That being said, Judy has big plans for baby Leila.

“I hope that she has perspective, a good sense of humor, patience, perseverance, and that she really just hangs in there to do what she’s passionate about. And has a dazzling smile like her mom!”

Aaah love the name – well I should, it’s my middle name and my mum’s first name.

I can’t speak for the parents here, but in my family it’s pronounced Lee-luh (to rhyme with Sheila). I love it when people pronounce it right – doesn’t happen that often lol

CelebBabyLover, I never knew it could be pronounced LEE-LUH. Very nice that you brought that to people’s attention. My sister’s puppy is named Leila (LAY-luh)because they got her after going to Hawaii.
