It’s a baby girl for singer Lisa Loeb and her husband Roey Hershkovitz, her rep tells PEOPLE exclusively.

Lyla Rose Loeb Hershkovitz arrived Sunday morning, November 29th at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles and is the first child for the couple.

Lisa, 41, and Roey, 31, a music production supervisor for The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien, announced that they were expecting in September

The couple met in 2006 at a business meeting and married last January.

Lisa shot to fame in 1994 with the No. 1 single “Stay (I Missed You)” from the movie Reality Bites.

She also helps underprivileged children through her own non-profit, the Camp Lisa Foundation, which gives at-risk kids the chance to go to summer camp. Her latest CD, Camp Lisa, is available now.

Additionally, Lisa’s latest project – the Lisa Loeb Eyewear Collection from Classique Eyewear – is due out in spring 2010.

Lyla’s a pretty name. And I like that she’s got mom and dad’s first initials as her first and middle initials.

- Janine on

I do really like Lyla also. Different but not weird. Congrats! I’m glad Lisa got to experience having a child. It’s awesome!

- Tam on

Love the name Lyla/Lila too, though Rose is becoming somewhat of a cliched middle name

- Sarah on

Cute name! Congrats to them!

Beautiful names! Not something you hear everyday (well, Rose more then Lyla). But they are normal! Love it!

loving the name and I called it right when I guessed she’d have a girl but rose does hold a special place in my heart as it’s my maternal grandmothers name

Yay! Congrats to them! Beautiful name. I kind of wish I wore glasses so I could get a pair from Lisa’s upcoming eyewear line. Darn my good eyesight! :-)

I heard Lisa was not due until January. The story doesn’t mention how the baby is doing so here’s hoping the baby is healthy and doing great! Love Lisa’s “Camp Lisa” CD. She seems like she’ll be a great mom. :-)

- Catca on

LOVE the name its so pretty!

Ive heard a lot of LYLA’s, MYLA’s and NYLA’s recently..maybe a new trend! Think they are all gorgeous names, but i love anything with an A sound at the end, like Gia, Isabella, Alyssa etc!

- Ana on

I have a Lila as well (8 months old)! I love Lisa and am so happy for her!

- Isabella-Rose on

that is too funny my sister had a baby in July named Lyla Rose….copy cat….lol…I love Lisa though…so glad she is finally happy and settled.

- Mel on

Nice name! Congrats!

- Karm on

Beautiful name! I too had heard she wasn’t due for at least 6 more weeks…hope the baby is doing ok!!

- christina on

Catca and christina- I’m sure Lyla is doing fine. I don’t think Lisa or her husband ever actually said themselves when Lyla was due, so likely the thing about her being due in January was just a rumor that turned out to be untrue.

Even if it IS true, Lyla was born just over a month prior to January, so she isn’t all that early. :)

- CelebBabyLover on

Congrats!! Lovely name too! I’m sure Lyla will be a beauty, can’t wait to see pics!

- Sharon on

Im lovin the L name. My 3rd child is named Lily Belle so I feel her. She is one hot cougar.lol

- Callen loves her babies on

Isabella-Rose – Yep, that’s how it’s pronounced. The more traditional spelling is Lila.

- mrsh on

A beautiful classic name with a different spelling on the first name… I love it.

I’m so thrilled for her… I remember her show and how much she wanted to find her soul mate and be a wife and mother.

- Kat on

Awww…. congrats to Lisa and Roey!!! Love to see more older moms having babies, since I may be in the same boat in a year or two! :)

The name Lila Rose is so sweet! My mama wanted me to give my daughter the middle name Rose, she really loved and it and so do I even tho it’s kinda old-fashioned! :)

- daniela on

I adore Lisa Loeb than and now still do, Also her love
