Limelight; Bauer-Griffin

From Naomi Watts and Angelina Jolie to Jennifer Garner and Ellen Pompeo, Hollywood’s style conscious moms-to-be love to rock Citizens of Humanity maternity denim.

During her pregnancy, Sarah Michelle Gellar Prinze sported a pair of their casual jean shorts while running errands last July. Ever the fashionista, Gwen Stefani opted for a skinny dark rinse pair to offset her roomy top while pregnant with Zuma in 2008.

Citizens of Humanity

Known for their superior fit, Citizens brings the same attention to detail to its maternity collection as it does its regular styles.

Their over-the-belly jeans, skirts and shorts are super comfy and hug the body in all the right places. If you love designer and want the look even while pregnant, this is the denim brand for you.

We recommend buying the classic Kelly Bootcut style ($180) as your pregnancy denim staple.

They’re so well-crafted, you’ll only need one pair!  Plus, the cut and color are universal so you can dress them up or down.

Stanley Tucci Dishes on His 'Proudest Moment' As a Dad

Maxppp/Landov

Earlier this year, Stanley Tucci suffered an unimaginable blow when Kate Tucci — his wife of 14 years — died of cancer. In the wake of that loss, the 50-year-old actor has taken over countless duties and in a new interview with WebMD magazine he says that there is one duty in particular he could live without.

“I’d rather be a sous chef at Lutèce than pack those darn school lunches,” he jokes.

“My proudest moment is when I actually get the school lunches packed in time!”

In his upcoming film The Lovely Bones, Stanley portrays a pedophile and murderer, a role he describes as “the hardest thing” he’s ever done.

“I can’t bear to watch anything where kids are getting hurt,” he explains. “I was up in the air about [accepting the role]…It was a challenge, and I like a challenge. I’m glad I did it.”

When it comes to explaining danger to his 9 ½-year-old twins Isabel and Nicolo and daughter Camilla, 7, Stanley says that “a little fear is OK.” He elaborates,

“It’s important for children to understand what they should and should not be afraid of. I worked closely with an FBI guy [for The Lovely Bones], and he would tell his own kid: ‘See that guy over there?’ He’d pick ‘em out, and tell them exactly what to look for. But ultimately, we all have to keep a close eye on our children.”

The Lovely Bones hits theaters December 11th.

Kate Hudson Recalls Ryder's Face Painting Fiasco

Eagle Press

A dedicated mother — who tells Madison magazine that nights out on the town are always cut short due to her 7 a.m. wake-up calls from her 5 ½-year-old son Ryder RussellKate Hudson‘s parenting (and negotiating!) skills were recently put to the test.

Calling her son “such a smartypants,” the actress laughs that her mother Goldie Hawn‘s predictions that her grandson would be nothing short of a future “director…in charge” have been proven correct!

“We went to this birthday party recently where all the children were getting their faces painted and everybody was saying, ‘I want to be Spiderman’ or ‘Batman’ and the girls were saying, ‘I want to be pretty,’” Kate says.

“And Ryder said, ‘I want a red face and I want white around the eyes, I want a white mouth, I want spikes, and I want yellow dots on each spike.’ And I said, ‘Honey, what is that?’ He replied, ‘My creation.’”

And when the face painter “didn’t do it exactly the way he wanted it,” Ryder was the first to notice!

Minding his manners, Ryder kept his disappointment to himself, but was quick to point it out later during a phone chat with dad Chris Robinson. “I said, ‘Tell Daddy about your face.’ And he told Chris, ‘She did it totally wrong,’” recalls Kate. When prompted further by his mystified mama, Ryder elaborated, “They’re not mountain peaks, they’re hills. They’re not peaks, they’re not sharp.”

While Kate reassured her son the work of art was top-notch, her comforting words didn’t quite do the trick! “I said, ‘Honey, but they look great,’” she insisted.

“And he said, ‘No mum, look — they’re hills.’ Oh yeah, he knows what he wants!”
