Michael Douglas holds hands with daughter Carys Zeta, 6 ½, while watching the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade on the balcony of their apartment on Thursday morning in New York City.

The actor, 65, is in town with wife Catherine Zeta-Jones and son Dylan Michael, 9, as Catherine prepares for a turn on Broadway in the revival of A Little Night Music, currently in previews and opening on December 13th.

It must be awesome to walk onto your balcony and be able to watch the Thanksgiving Day Parade!!

She is a cute little girl

Pamela on

Michael Douglas has some strong genes-I think she looks a lot like him! Although I do see a little of her mother in her. Either way, she’s a very pretty girl!

Alice on

Carys is adorable… I don’t think I’ve seen a pic of her since she was about 4! Good for them!

She does look like Michael but her mouth is all mom.

Lily on

Michael’s son, Dylan, looks EXACTLY like Catherine Zeta-Jones. He has his mother’s dark hair and shape of face. Carys, however, looks like like her father. I can definitely see the resemblance to the Douglas side of the family. Carys resembles both Michael and Kirk (they look so much alike anyway, being father and son). Carys even has their fair complexion and hair. This little girl is her father’s daughter all the way.

Adorable! I love the name Carys!

I’ve always loved the name Carys and now a good friend of mine is naming her baby Carys!!! Yay! :)

very pretty girl!

She’s a beautiful little girl.

why does her hair look like it was bleached? she’s too young, no?

Alycia on

I doubt her hair is bleached… Mine looked like that when I was younger. It just naturally faded from blonde to brown.

Simms on

No it’s not bleached… only naturally from the sun – She lives in Bermuda.

Jessi on

me: it could be the lighting, but it’s possible. Not saying it is right or anything. I worked with a girl who had a 6 year old at the time and she went and got highlights with her daughter all of the time! Given the daughter also had a cell phone and the lady had been doing this for at least 2 years before I knew her!

Liliana on

I can’t believe she’s six, already. Time flies.

As for her hair, it doesn’t look bleached to me.

aww this is lovely! im a HUGE fan of this family! Do they still live in the Kenilworth Building? i read on another site they watched the parade from a friends balcony.

alexis on

my gosh i cant believe how grown up she is!! it feels like not that long ago we were marvelling over how amazing CZJ looked while pregnant with carys at the oscars…well i know i was!!

Ruthella on

I think Carys looks just like Catherine! She’s beautiful and her hair looks nothing like it’s been lightened to me :)

Lau on

Wow, she’s six already! She’s gorgeous. It’s great to see a pic of her. She has a really good mix of her parents’ genes, but I agree with Alice, mouth is all Catherine.

Veronica on

Oooooh, I love this family! Carys is Catherine’s mini-me, for sure, just a beautiful girl. Nice to see a recent picture of her :)

mrsh on

That naturally light brown hair color gets gold when exposed to enough sunlight. So, if she lives in Bermuda (lucky!), then it makes complete sense that the ends would be gold from time spent in the sun. The top is darker, either because it’s new growth, or for those of us who have to live with winter, because of lack of sun.

Anyway, she’s a pretty little girl! She does look a lot like Michael, but that’s not a bad thing.

I don’t think she looks like her mom. catherine is beautiful.
she looks like her father.

Sam and Freya's mum on

I think she looks just like mum around the mouth. Carys and big brother Dylan must keep him on his 65 year old toes!

she looks like her father.

Are you saying that she isn’t beautiful?

Betsy on

I am assuming they had no idea pic was taken since — and if that is true….. I don’t get why it is ok to invade people privacy. Yes, I have a prob of pics taken of stars when living their private life. Why can’t we stick to pics at events and such. I sure wouldn’t want my pic when I’m on my balcony.

Jen on

her hair doesnt look bleached at all. Me: I dont think you know what bleached hair is if you think Carys hair looks bleached. There a very happy and beautiful family :)

CelebBabyLover on

Betsy- Ordinarily I’d agree with you, but it says that they were watching the Macy’s Thanksgiving parade when they were photographed. Therefore, I’m guessing they probably expected that paps would take photos of them (considering there’s obviously A LOT of media on hand at the Macy’s Parade!).

As for her hair, I think the only “bleaching” that’s been done on her hair has been courtesy of the sun! :)

Lue on

How do u pronounce carys name?????

Jessi on

Lue: KA-ris. The ‘a’ is a short ‘a’ as in ‘hat’; ‘i’ is not fully pronounced and is partway between ‘e’, ‘i’ and a schwa (neutral vowel sound).
