The Sutter Family Supports TDCA Reform

Seventh Generation/Startraks

Former Bachelorette stars Ryan and Trista Sutter took their children — Maxwell Alston, 2, and Blakesley Grace, 7 months — to the Million Baby Crawl in Broomfield, Colorado on Wednesday.

Hosted by Seventh Generation, the event took place across the United States.

Babies crawled towards a replica of the Capitol in an effort to demand stronger protection against toxic chemicals with the reform of the Toxic Substances Control Act.

clever idea, excellent cause!

- Abby on

I’m thinking they both look more like Trista??

- Lisa on

Aww! They are both so cute! To me Blakesley looks a lot like Trista!

- Brooklyn on

My goodness that little baby looks just like her daddy!

- JMO on

Those kids are just so darn cute. I love it!

- Liz on

I think Max is a perfect combination of Trista and Ryan while looking a little more like Trista features wise and coloring (he has Ryan’s eyes, though). Blakesley, though..that little chica is ALL Ryan! Absolutely adorable.

Beautiful family and great cause, but, at the same time, I really dislike when parents use children to express their own political opinions. Clearly Blakesley is too young to have her own opinion on the subject, so why are they expressing it for her? Just my opinion. I always cringe when I see children carrying picket signs for causes that they surely can’t understand yet.

I was there. Trista and Ryan were very nice and down to earth, mingling with all the other parents.

They were also shorter than I pictured. Hee hee. They are even better looking in person.

Their kids were really sweet and quiet. Max and my daughter colored side by side at the craft table.

It was a great event, all around.

Max is such a sweetie and Blakesley is honestly the happiest- looking, most gorgeous baby I’ve ever seen! Such beautiful children!

Jen,

I get what you are saying to some extent, but they are participating in this with their children because the use of toxic chemicals in things like diapers affects their children. This really isn’t a political issue, it’s a safety issue.

Even so, wanting stronger control over TOXIC chemicals seems to be something we can all get behind no?

- Jen on

I miss Trista’s blonde hair. She still very pretty with it darker – I just think it seems to age her a lot. But it’s none of my business LOL.

Cute baby! Why isn’t she wearing pants, though? Is that part of the “baby crawl” thing? Is it a pantsless event?

- mrsh on

I go to pantsless events all the time. Doesn’t everyone?
I am sure she has no pants so she can crawl. Some babies won’t crawl except on bare knees for a while.

- michelle on

i was there, stood right next to them. had no clue who they were. when you have a baby you dont watch tv. glad I dont care.

- dawn on

mrsh- OMG! She is a BABY! Even if she were only in a diaper, there would be nothing innapproprite about it (unless, of course, it was innapproprite for the weather)!

Babyhood is the one time in your life when you can go out in public without a lot of clothes on! :)

- CelebBabyLover on

Well Dawn.. you cared enough to come on here and post about it right?

They are such a cute family!

- Jess on

Such beautiful kids! Blakesley certainly is a cutie! :)

- Jennifer on

Oh my goodness, CelebBabyLover, calm down!! I was CURIOUS! Are you just so used to everyone on here being jerks that you have a completely inappropriate response to an honest question?? I asked because she’s wearing a hoodie, but no pants. As someone, appropriately, answered for me, she may have not worn them because there is crawling involved and some babies won’t crawl in pants. I wouldn’t know this because my daughter does crawl in pants. But thanks for over-reacting, CelebBabyLover. You’re a real peach.

- mrsh on

Blakesley is such a little doll, and Max is such a handsome boy. :) I’ll take them both..:D

- FC on

max looks pretty unhappy if you ask me.

- miaow on

mrsh- I did not realize that you were simply curious. I thought you were implying that it was inapproprite of Trista and Ryan not to have her in pants. And yes, I assumed that partially because I AM used to people on here constantly criticizing celeb parents for what their kids are or aren’t dressed in (“that baby needs a hat!”, “why isn’t she wearing a coat?”, “why is he dressed in such warm clothes when they’re in LA!”, “why do they always dress her like a boy?”, etc.).

Anyway, I DID way over-react, and I profusely apologize! :)

- CelebBabyLover on

Thanks, CelebBabyLover. I am DEFINITELY not one to nitpick the celebs about anything, especially clothing. My daughter (8 months old tomorrow) is the sweatiest little girl in the world, and strangers will actually approach me and tell me my child is under-dressed! The nerve of people! I think I would know how to dress the baby that has never been away from me since she was born… Geeze.

No, I’m more of the “let’s all support each other” type of mom. I don’t like to criticize because, frankly, we’re strangers and we don’t know. Period.

So, again, thanks for the apology. :-)

- mrsh on

She is adorable! And Max is cute too.
