Bronx Wentz Keeps On Truckin'

Louise Barnsley/Pedro Andrade/Pacific Coast News

Reunited and it feels so good!

With Pete Wentz back from a trip to Australia, he and wife Ashlee Simpson-Wentz stepped out to CVS and treated son Bronx Mowgli, 11 months, to a new dump truck in Los Angeles on Thursday.

Noticed Ashlee’s new black locks? The singer/actress is taking a break from red to reprise her role as Roxie Hart in Chicago.

Having played the part on London’s West End in 2006, Ashlee will be making her Broadway debut starting in December for a six-week run.

See more pictures of the trio in the Simpson-Wentz family photo album!

I love Ashlee’s new hair color! Bronx is a lil chunky munky! He’s so adorable!

- Viv on

Aww, what a great happy family picture!! Nice :)

- Heidi K. on

Love her hair! Bronx is so cute. I love that family. They seem so happy and down to earth.

Also those trucks are great for parks. I was a nanny and the girls I watched had a different one but it was that size and it entertained them for awhile. They filled it with mulch and drove it around. So cute!

- Bren on

Bronx has really turned into a cute chunky bub!lol. I like Ashlee’s hair more blonde i feel the dark color is hard looking. The blonde was more softer looking.

- g!na on

Bronx is adorable! But I still don’t think he resembles any of his parents yet.

- Natasha on

Ever since one of you guys mentioned Kevin Spacey I think that everytime I see Bronx:) He’s so cute!

- Jessicad on

It’s kind of hilarious how Bronx looks nothing like either of his parents…he is definitely adorable though. :)

- Erica on

her hair color is enviable! looks sooooo good on her and her hair looks so thick, not that it ever looked thin, but it looks so thick and healthy

- acorrado on

I bet Pete will have more fun with that truck than Bronx will.
Bronx is such a cutie, I think he’s a great mix of Pete and Ashlee.
I saw Ashlee on the West End and she was great, I think its great shes back on stage.

- Sammy-xx on

I love this family. They are adorable! I just have to ask though, does Bronx EVER wear shoes?

- Natalie on

he looks like a simpson, but he needs some socks or shoes!

- annie on

Bronx is so adorable!! I love Ashlee’s hair colour! i love this family!!

- Michaela on

Bronx is so cute and Ashley’s hair looks great!

- Liliana on

If you google ‘ashlee simpson younger’ you will see Bronx is all Ashlee

- Lily on

Aw….he’s so cute and is gonna love that truck! Ashlee always looks so besotted with Pete, I really hope this works out for her.

- Mary-Helen on

I sincerely hope that Jessica finds happiness like her sister has. It’s ironic how Ashlee always seemed to be in Jess’s shadow when Jess was at the top of her game, now look at them.

- Kimri on

Goodness, I wish they would put some socks on that boy. He’s barefoot every time I see him!

- Angela on

Cute little guy.

That no socks thing really irks people. Funny.

- Ashleigh on

i only just wonder if his feet get cold? Ma & Pa r wear long sleeves, even a sweater, & he is n a tee & barefoot. my sons feet always seem cold so ever when he wasnt walkn i aways kept socks on him, lest it was the middle of summer i didnt mind barefoot before he was walking. but, at least so he could get used 2 his feet being covered & not protest footwear when he became mobile. its not irking me, im not judging, i was just throwing that out there

- boo&abi'smama on

I don’t really understand why she went black for the role of Roxie. There have been Roxies of every hair color under the sun…so I don’t think the dye job was just for the show (she’s gonna be wigged anyway)….

- K on

Ashleigh- I agree! I don’t get why people get all up in arms about Bronx being barefoot. I mean, they’re in Los Angeles, for pete’s sake (no pun intended!)! I highly doubt it’s cold enough there for Bronx’s feet to be in any danger! :)

- CelebBabyLover on

yeah ashleigh, it’s strange isn’t it? it never even crossed my mind. i often like to walk around without socks if it’s warm and i know lots of kids that too. if he’s not cold, who cares? he’s probably more comfortable like this. i’m sure his parents know best.

- JM on

they are such a cute family! love her hair!

- Erika on

That little guy just gets cuter and cuter everytime I see him! And I agree..he definitely takes from Ashlee in the looks dept.

It doesn’t bother me that he never has socks on..it’s LA after all, and probably still warm even in Nov. I spent most of my youth barefooted then again I did live in the country and don’t think I went barefooted in public, but who knows…

Love Ashlee’s new hair color! I generally think dyeing your hair jet black if you’re blond can look harsh but she looks fantastic!

- Jennifer on

It’s really nice to see Ashlee looking so happy. I always feel like she looks stressed, but this is a great pic of her!

- HeatherR on

Aw, they look so happy! I love this family so much. And the new hair color is hot! I love it.

- Stephany on

Lily you’re right. I googled that and he looks exactly like Ashlee did as a child. They look so happy in this picture.

- Ivy on

The no socks thing is no big deal. I’m father north than LA and my son isn’t wearing socks. It’s still in the high 60s/low 70s here. My DS won’t crawl if he’s got anything on his feet and if I have to run out quick to the store and he’s just going to be in his stroller or my arms, sure, I don’t bother putting socks and shoes on him. All that will change in a few weeks as it gets colder, but right now it’s warm enough that it’s fine. :-)

- marfmom on

I think Bronx is definitely all mommy, with a little bit of Pete mixed in. I’m not a fan of either of them, but they seem to be really great together and love each other very much. Good for them :)

- Mia on

He’s such a solid little guy! I think he and Ashlee share the same waist size! :)

- Maddie on

Well if Bronx is anything like my son was at this age…it is possible that he may have had socks and shoes on but he took them off in the car! My son ALWAYS took off his socks and shoes. He is 2 now and still does the same thing. It is a complete lost cause to try and keep socks on him because they just end up all over the house.

This pic is adorable!

- Elle on

I have a deal with my daughter (who is almost 8 months old, and has no idea what I’m talking about) that if the temperature in the house gets to 70 or higher, she can be barefoot. She doesn’t like socks, and her feet get really gross and sweaty easily. She also crawls and stands better barefoot. But, under 70 and socks stay on. If we’re out (because we live on the east coast) she’s in socks, and sometimes soft-soled boots, if it’s really cold.

- mrsh on

Pete has been on a lot of TV when he was here in Aus and I have been pleasantly suprised by him! He was articulate, friendly and really got the Australian sense of humour. Definitely more than just a punk rocker!

All the sock comments remind me of the comments a while back of Suri Cruise. If you were at that very moment to judge how how it was, then perhaps you can judge. But as his parents, I’m sure Ashlee and Pete are more than capable of deciding whether their son needs socks/shoes.

- Catey on

I don’t like the color, the orangish red, was really starting to have a liking on me :} But they’re a cute family.

- allie. on

My feet tend to be cold, so I always wonder about a baby’s feet getting cold. I do love to look at cute little baby toes though! Ashlee looks great. She always has so much fun with her hair.

- Terri on

it’s 74 degrees here right now, I dont think the baby is freezing to death anytime soon. Me and my kids NEVER wear socks.

- Des on

So Cute!! I love Ashlee’s new hair

- Kallie on

Ashlee is so lucky!!

Love her hair!!!
