Gear Recall: Maclaren USA Umbrella Strollers Get New Hinge Cover

Calling all Maclaren umbrella stroller owners! Maclaren USA just announced a voluntary recall of all Maclaren umbrella strollers sold in the U.S.

Free of charge, the company will send out a kit to cover the elbow joint on the stroller’s side hinge mechanism. Unfortunately if left uncovered, it can pose a potential finger hazard to a child when opening or closing.

To obtain the hinge covers, visit the company’s recall website or call them toll-free at 877-688-2326 between the hours of 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. EST.

And the worst part is that they are only recalling these strollers in the USA even thought they are selling the exact same ones in Europe!

Almost all strollers have this same hinge mechanic! Maclaren is just the 1st to offer it’s appologies. Watch your kids & put potential danger where they are not able to get them. Order the free hinge covers. Life will go on.
