that’s a beautiful philosophy to have that sharing the world with your children is one of your greatest achievements as a parent. we try to do the same with our kids. they have already travelled quite a bit and this has at times included seeing some of the areas of the world where people aren’t as fortunate as we are. my 7 year old especially, already has an acute understanding of how differently people live around the world and that many conditions aren’t always fair but that there are things we can do to help. he recently asked me, when we had the news on the background which was showing a documentary about Darfur, whether there was anything we could do to help. it’s important that we instill these values in our children, so that hopefully future generations can avoid some of the mistakes that we have made.
