New York Knick Al Harrington Welcomes Daughter Amaya

Nancy Rivera/Ace Pictures

It’s been a momentous few weeks for New York Knicks star Al Harrington. In September the 29-year-old forward-center married longtime love Michelle, and this month the couple welcomed their first child — a daughter named Amaya.

No information on baby girls’ birth stats have been provided, but Al recently revealed that Michelle’s due date was October 22nd. In an August interview with NBA.com, the excited expectant papa said that his summer training regimen was taking place close to home.

“My wife is pregnant this summer so we haven’t really been able to go anywhere. I’ve just been here in the city working out, but I did go to Vegas for two weeks to train. But I couldn’t wait to come back to be with her. It’s my first kid. A little baby girl.”

The Knicks will kick off their regular season tonight in Miami.

Andy Richter Says Parents Shouldn't Be Cool

Entertainment Press/Splash News Online

Funnyman Andy Richter says that his two children William Oscar, 8 ½, and Mercy Josephine, 4, have well-developed senses of humor — but what’s comedy to them isn’t comedy to most adults!

“All you have to do to make them laugh is throw pee and poop into the conversation or make fart noises,” Andy tells Babble. “They love that.”

“When my son started to get to the age of liking jokes, every one we would make involved pee or poop or farting. We thought, ‘Oh my God, we’ve raised a frat-house monster.’ Then we took a trip to preschool: that’s what makes all of them laugh. It’s universally funny.”

Although his job as announcer on The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien will no doubt impress the kids someday, Andy says it hasn’t happened yet. “They really don’t [think I'm cool], because they think of me as their parent, which is how it should be,” he explains before adding,

“Whenever I hear anybody say, ‘My dad is my hero,’ I always think, ‘I don’t know what you’re talking about.’ Parents are like the drapes in your bedroom — you barely even notice them or what they do.”

Jenna Elfman Says Story Is Ready For Big Brotherhood

Mathew Imaging/WireImage

Making it past the first trimester marks a number of milestones for an expectant mama and Jenna Elfman is no exception!

Due with her second child in March, the actress tells E! that she was more than ready to move past the uncharted waters that accompanied the first three months . “I was massively tired and had nausea and I didn’t have any of that during my first pregnancy,” she says.

Already mom to Story Elias, learning to balance motherhood while tending to her own needs — including her career — became quite the learning experience. “I was filming the show with insomnia and nausea and then going home to a two-year-old who’s very active,” the star of Accidentally on Purpose shares. “It was a bit daunting.”

Fortunately for Jenna, the second trimester has been much easier on her body — and brain!

“I’m past the first three months now and I feel like my head is screwed on better.”

As for preparing Story for big brotherhood, the 38-year-old and her husband Bodhi aren’t worried — according to Jenna, their toddler is already making his parents proud!

“I’m not sure if he gets the whole boy or girl thing exactly, but ‘baby’ he gets,” she reveals.

“He gives my tummy a kiss and gives it a bottle and puts the blankie over my tummy and goes, ‘Baby, night-night.’”

Poll: What Do You Think of Suri's Heels?

Christopher Peterson/BuzzFoto; Thornton/Mauceri/INF

From pretty party dresses to classic trench coats, Suri Cruise‘s mini fashion statements constantly amaze us. What little girl wouldn’t want her fab age-appropriate wardrobe? So it was quite a shock when we saw the 3 ½-year-old out and about in neutral D’orsay pumps this past September. Toddler heels! Who knew?

We spotted her again Monday in Boston (above right) wearing a new pair of gold T-strap pumps. It’s obvious Miss Cruise has a thing for high heels. Although in theory it’s super cute, we’re just not sure if we’re ready for this trend to hit the mini masses.

Take our poll and tell us your thoughts in the comments!
