Baby On the Way For Hélio Castroneves!

INF

He took this year’s title as the Indianapolis 500 champion and amazed his fans on the dance floor — eventually taking home the prized disco ball trophy — during his stint on Dancing With the Stars in 2007, but now Hélio Castroneves has his sights set on a whole new adventure: fatherhood.

The 34-year-old and his girlfriend Adriana Henao are expecting their first child — a girl — in January, Hélio announced.

While the couple originally considered naming their daughter Indy — later deciding it was a “little too much” — they have since settled on Mikaella.

As for tying the knot with Adriana, Hélio admits no plans have been made, but considers marriage the “natural next step” in his seemingly bright future.

“This year started very difficult, the middle was kind of a ‘Wow!’ and now this. This is a great ending for the book.”

Svan Scooter: A Smooth & Sleek Ride

Svan Scooter

I’ve only had the Svan Scooter ($99.95) for a week and already I’ve received a dozen compliments. My husband was blown away by the sleek, modern design. My twins love how smoothly it rolls. And friends and family who stopped by wanted one for their own kids or as a gift for new parents.

I admit I was initially impressed with the sculpted curves of the luxurious birch wood (available in a natural or espresso finish). Unlike most of our kids’ toys, I didn’t mind leaving this one on display in the living room. But it’s not only good-looking, the sturdy construction and thoughtful safety features are also a plus. The wheels have covers to protect little fingers and the front wheels turn 360 degrees to make steering effortless and easy for my 19 month-olds.

Perfect for ages 18 months and up.

Exclusive for CBB Readers: Use code SCOOT at checkout for 10% off the Svan Scooter.

Heidi Klum and Seal Welcome Daughter Lou Sulola

Steve Granitz/WireImage

Auf Wiedersehen, maternity clothes! Heidi Klum has given birth to a girl. The Project Runway host delivered daughter Lou Sulola Samuel on Friday, October 9th, her rep confirms to PEOPLE.

The supermodel and TV host’s husband, Seal, released the following statement Sunday evening after going home with their daughter, who joins siblings Johan, 2 ½, Henry, 4, and Leni, 5.

“It’s difficult to imagine loving another child as much as you love your existing children,” Seal writes. “Anyone who has a family will tell you this. Where will one find that extra love? If you love your existing children with all of your heart, how then can one possibly find more heart with which to love another?”

“On Friday, Oct. 9, 2009, at 7:46 p.m., the answer to this question came in the form of our fourth child and second daughter,” he continues. “Lou Sulola Samuel was born, and from the moment she looked into both of our eyes, it was endless love at first sight. She is beautiful beyond words and we are happy that she chose us to watch her grow over the coming years.”

Back in April, husband Seal announced the pregnancy news during a show at Radio City Music Hall — much to the model’s surprise!

“[The news] came out faster than I wanted it to,” Heidi, 36, said at the time. “My husband kind of surprised me and everybody at one of his concerts.”

But Seal wasn’t the only one who was excited. The following month — citing Heidi’s inability to keep a secret — they revealed that baby-on-the-way was a girl.

Heidi — who recently applied to change her last name to Seal’s surname of Samuel — and the “Kiss From a Rose” singer wed in 2005.

Nicole Sullivan on Brotherly Love: 'We Don't Force It'

Milton Ventura/Celebrity Photo

The transition from one child to two can be tough, but Nicole Sullivan says it’s made easier by sleep deprivation! “[It] keeps you from being able to process what you’ve just done to your life,” she jokes in a new interview with Spotlight to Nightlight, “because if you stop and think about it, this is what insane people would do to themselves.”

When she’s feeling overwhelmed, Nicole says she keeps her eye on “the big picture.”

“Boy, when they’re both in school, this is going to be great. They’re going to play soccer together…then it’s going to be fun. Right now is just the really hard part.”

To prepare 2-year-old Dashel Pierce for the arrival of Beckett Edward, now 5 weeks, Nicole says she and husband Jason Packham applied a less-is-more approach. “We read a bunch of books…[but] he seemed to be disinterested, and we sort of went with that,” she explains.

Noting that “if your husband brought home a new wife and said ‘Don’t worry, you guys are going to be best friends’ you’d be like, ‘No we’re not,’” Nicole says that the couple instead “let [Dashel] have his distance from the baby.” She adds,

“We don’t force it. We just let him sort of deal with [Beckett] on his own time.”

As for the biggest surprise of life with two-under-three? Just how little knowledge Nicole retained from the first time around. “I feel like I’m doing it brand new all over again,” she admits. “It’s like, ‘Oh, why did he vomit all over himself?’ Oh right, I didn’t burp him.” The 39-year-old Rita Rocks actress says that some things haven’t changed, however.

“Let’s be honest. You made it up with the first one. I read all the books, and in the end, you make it up. I’m making it up again.”

Calling motherhood “a series of guilt trips you have to navigate through,” Nicole misses the one-on-one time she enjoyed with Dashel, and wishes she had more of the same for Beckett. “I want to be with the new baby and take the time and look into his eyes, and make all the baby faces and bond the way I did with Dash,” she explains, “but I’ve got another little boy looking at me going, ‘Can we go to My Gym?’”

Although those moments are tough, Nicole says that she would never say or do anything to dissuade a mother from pursuing a bigger family.

“People are going to try to scare you…Just do what you do, and it will all work out. Don’t let people panic you. Don’t let them be like, ‘Oh my God, it’s like having 17 kids.’ Just relax. Put one foot in front of the other, and it will all be fine.”

Tom Cruise and Suri Make Nice With Nature

It was a weekend park playdate for the Holmes-Cruise family! Enjoying their time in Massachusetts while Tom films his latest movie Wichita, the actor, his wife Katie, and daughter Suri spent their Saturday afternoon at the Charles River Basin in Cambridge after grabbing cupcakes at Sweet Cafe.

The inquisitive 3-year-old took her time exploring the park — stopping to check out what lies beneath a park bench! — before challenging her parents to a quick race and later heading down to the water where she hopped rocks with a bit of help from dad.

Hilary Swank on Motherhood: 'When the Time Is Right, I'll Know'

Courtesy Marie Claire

Million Dollar Baby star Hilary Swank has babies on the brain — but the Oscar winner says, for now, there is a different kind of baby taking center stage.

“For me, my career is like, for lack of a better word, a baby,” she tells Marie Claire. “I always knew that I wanted to act, since I was 7-years-old.” For just as long, however, Hilary concedes she has been “thinking about the day” she would become a mom. She adds,

“When the time is right, I’ll know. I am aware that next week, I turn 35. But I am also aware that the timing has to be right.”

She’s already learning what it’s like to live with a child, by way of boyfriend John Campisi‘s 6-year-old son Sam, and beginning to consider her choices more carefully as a result. A self-confessed fan of sleeping in the nude — “I just toss and turn too much…if I’m in clothes, I get all twisted up,” she explains — Hilary predicts that the practice will be coming to an end soon.

“You wonder at what age you should stop walking around nude,” she muses. “Every morning he comes into the bedroom, and you’re just nude.” Hilary is quick to point out, however,

“He doesn’t look twice; he doesn’t think about it yet.”
