Expectant Sarah Jane Morris Gets Eco-Conscious

Lisa Franchot for use on CBB

The Hot Moms Club met up with Brothers & Sister‘s star Sarah Jane Morris for a day of eco-baby shopping at boutique The Little Seed, owned by actress Soleil Moon Frye.

Unlike her character Julia, who experienced fertility and marriage issues with onscreen husband Balthazar Getty, Sarah Jane is happily married to her college sweetheart Ned Brower (drummer of the rock band Rooney) and is expecting a baby boy in January.

Considering herself a “green advocate,” mom-to-be Sarah Jane practices what she preaches: The actress composts her kitchen scraps, buys organic and vintage clothes whenever possible (and shops for baby at her favorite online shop, The Ultimate Green Store), uses eco-friendly cleaning products and drives an alternative energy car that runs on recycled vegetable oil.

Salma Hayek Says No Go On Pregnancy Glow

Fame

In her new film Cirque du Freak: The Vampire’s Assistant, Salma Hayek sports a beard, and while friends and family assured her she looked “so hot,” the 43-year-old actress tells PARADE she isn’t buying it!

“It’s like when people tell you, ‘You look gorgeous’ when you are pregnant,” she explains. “You are like a swollen whale and never looked worse in your life, and somebody goes, ‘You’re glowing.’” In reality, Salma says, “they don’t have the courage to tell you how bad you look.”

The transformation Salma underwent for the role did not go unnoticed by daughter Valentina Paloma, 2, who was unfazed by what she saw. “[She] seemed to understand it was only makeup,” Salma says “She was only seven months old and she was not freaking out.”

Quite the opposite, Salma recalls that a “fascinated” Valentina would watch for “hours” as assistants put on and then took off the beard. “She knew not to touch it,” Salma says before adding,

“I kept my daughter with me the whole time we were filming because otherwise I don’t see her the whole day. She’s an amazing child. At nine months old she was already walking and talking.”

Valentina is Salma’s daughter with husband François-Henri Pinault. Cirque du Freak opens Friday.

Jenna Elfman Trying to 'Drag Out Non Maternity'

Jason Merritt/Getty

Hollywood moms-to-be have long done away with frumpy maternity styles, and five-months-pregnant Jenna Elfman is taking expectant glam to a whole new level for as long as she can.

She showed up to the Elle Women In Hollywood tribute dinner on Monday in a super-short, clingy little black dress that made the most of her lithe dancer’s legs while still showing off her baby bump.

“My stylist found it and it’s not maternity,” said Jenna with a chuckle. “I’m trying to drag out the ‘not maternity’ as long as possible.”

The actress — who’s also playing pregnant on her new sitcom Accidentally on Purpose — said her second stint on the way to motherhood has offered one surprise.

“I just had no nausea with the first and I’ve had nausea with this one, but it’s gone now which is nice. I have a little more energy. The nausea is gone and I feel like a human being again.”

Jenna, who has a two-year-old son, Story Elias, with husband Bodhi Elfman, said aside from the tummy troubles, her current pregnancy is “awesome, actually. It’s still challenging because I’m working and have a two year old. It can be exhausting but it’s wonderful.”

Working out, she said, “is kind of a must. You need to exercise when you’re pregnant. It really helps with energy. I like walking on the treadmill and lifting free weights slightly, just keeping moving is the main thing, using the whole body to keep moving.”

She also expects to hear baby news from her expectant costar Ashley Jensen, who was due October 17th, “any moment – I’m texting her, going ‘So, now?’” She says their show’s producers are ready to shift schedules as soon as the new arrivals make their appearances.

“They’re aware of my due date and I think bringing new life into this world kind of inspires everyone to find a solution. Where there’s a will there’s a way, and everyone just gets clever about finding solutions, and so you just make it work.”

Jenna wears a dress by Richard Sorger and an Erickson Beamon necklace and ring.

Steal That Style: These Boots Are Made For Walking!

Celebrity Baby Blog – Steal That Style

Boot scootin’ fun! Nothing says fall like a new pair of warm, cozy suede boots perfect for the needs of a toddler. With the trend of mid-calf boots back for another season, the children’s clothing market is full of fashion-forward designs, ranging from simple yet stylish to chic yet comfortable.

For girls, the look of the suede boot is often paired with a knee-length dress — much like Luisa Danbi Grier wore during her recent visit to Mr. Bones Pumpkin Patch — matched with tights or leggings. For little girls and boys on the go, parents can tuck skinny jeans into the boots to achieve a sophisticated sense of style. Of course, for kids simply looking for comfort — among them James Wilkie Broderick — a pair of sweat pants matched with the boots also works just as well!

Out with his mom Gwen Stefani and dad Gavin Rossdale, a sassy Kingston James McGregor showed off his pair of Minnetonka’s 3-Layer Fringe Boot ($60). We are loving the fringed detail! A little rain didn’t stop Ella Rae and her mom Rhea Durham from taking a stroll in New York City earlier this month. Her feet were certainly kept warm and dry with her pair of brown suede boots. Keeping casual during her family flight with dad Jason Priestley and mom Naomi Lowde-Priestley, little Ava Veronica sported a pair of fur-topped boots at the airport.

Kendra Wilkinson: From Playmate to Parenthood

Richard Reinsdorf/In Touch Weekly for use on CBB

As a Playboy model, Kendra Wilkinson was used to being admired — and ogled — for her body. But now, seven months pregnant — with a protruding belly, hip pain and swollen hands and feet — the former Girls Next Door star truly has an understanding of what it means to feel beautiful on the inside, too.

“The reason I feel so beautiful is not because of my looks,” says Kendra, who had no problem donning a bikini and proudly showing off her bump. “It’s because of my bond with the baby.”

Kendra, 24, and her doting husband, NFL star Hank Baskett, 27, sat down with In Touch at a studio in their temporary hometown of Indianapolis, where he has a new contract with the Colts, to talk about the highly anticipated arrival of son Henry Baskett IV in December (Kendra’s due date was recently moved up to the 12th). “He’ll be a momma’s boy!” Kendra insists.

During the candid interview, Kendra nibbled on Crumbs cupcakes and Boston Market macaroni and cheese, while Hank playfully patted her belly button, kissed her and constantly asked if she needed anything. “We are so excited,” she adds. “This bundle of joy will make us one big happy family!”
