Babysusu: Clothing for Boys and Boys Only!
Babysusu |
As mom to a toddler boy, I find it hard to find boys clothes that aren’t plastered with designer or sports slogans, in gender-coded navy blues and hunter greens or that simply look like baby sweat suits. So I was glad to discover BabySusu — a chic new boys clothing line based in New York.
Susu Nguyen Hughley — a mother of two boys — started the company to fill the void of cute, well-tailored clothing for boys in the market. Her well-edited collection (exclusively for little guys ages 0-4) features brightly printed button down shirts, well-crafted hoodie and sweaters and super comfy knits pants — all in natural materials like cotton, cashmere and wool.
My son Travis wore the Liberty of London button-down with dot print ($74, above) topped with the Navy V-neck cashmere sweater ($58) to a recent wedding and his smart-looking ensemble was the hit of the party. The best part? The clothes looked great and were extremely comfortable. That gets two thumbs way up in this mom’s book.
