Meet Ella Betsi Janet! Proud parents Ioan Gruffudd and Alice Evans wave from the doorway of their Los Angeles home as they give us a peek at their 5-week-old baby girl.
Born on September 6th and weighing in at 6 lbs., 3 oz, Ella is “very small and unbelievably beautiful,” Alice told Hello last month. “[She] hasn’t got much hair yet.”
Ella, whose second middle name is in honor of her late grandmother, is the first child for the actors.
She’s such a little cutie!

I love that her second middle name is Janet! That’s exactly what I plan on doing for my firstborn daughter. It’s my mom’s name. My brother’s middle name is our grandfather’s first name and so my brother plans to continue that by giving our father’s name to his son as a middle name. My mother has always felt her name was too difficult to do that but I’m going to surprise her and do it anyway.

Chloe, I agree. I love that Ioan and Alice introduce the baby on their terms. No super million deals, no hiding the baby. Here she is, you can see her. Ella is gorgerous and I do love that name. When my daughter was 1 and going to little gym, another girl in the class was named Ella and I loved it back then as well. Loan, Alice and Ella are a gorgerous Family.

It seems like they couldn’t decide which one they liked more so they just gave her all the name. They don’t roll easily off the tongue as a full name, they are more first names than first and second middle names. Was she named after Grandparents? Maybe they didn’t want to upset Grandparents?
