T.R. Knight: 'I Want a Baby'

The baby fever which has swept across the set of Grey’s Anatomy has spread, apparently, to former costar T.R. Knight. The 36-year-old actor, who departed the show earlier this year, said during a Tuesday visit to The Ellen DeGeneres Show that he’s anxious to become a father.

“I want a baby,” he revealed before adding,

“I don’t know if it’s going to end up working out, but that would be something I would like.”

Good friend and new mom Katherine Heigl has provided much inspiration. “I’ve wanted [kids] for a while,” T.R. explains, “so it reinforces it.”

As for Katherine’s 11-month-old daughter Naleigh, T.R. says,

“She’s such a beautiful baby. I’m so happy for her and [husband] Josh [Kelley].”

As for the other Grey’s Anatomy babies, T.R. says he’s spent time with Anniston Kae — 5-month-old daughter of Chyler Leigh — but is yet to meet Stella Luna – 4-week-old daughter of Ellen Pompeo. “There’s a head cold going around the cast and you can’t see the baby,” he explains. “So I’m pushing wellness formula on them to get the cast better so I can go see them.”

I wonder if TR’s boyfriend wants a baby too. He’s kinda young.

Luckily for him he’s a guy so has plenty of fertile years ahead (if he uses a surrogate), but it sounds like he’s leaning to adoption (mentioning Katherine’s daughter and all).
Now if only Sandra Oh would have a baby and we’d have the whole cast of Grey’s taken care off, lol.

not that i know him, but tr seems like he’d be a great dad.

and on a grey’s note-saw a red carpet interview with justin chambers (karev) from before the season started. he got asked if he and his wife had caught the baby fever. he just looked at the reporter and said “well, four of my five kids are sick at home with a fever fever, so…no. tweener fever is keeping us busy.” it was funny…

I think he would be a wonderful father!! I would love to see a group picture of the whole cast with their kids!! Big fan of Greys, but I miss O’Malley!!
