Baby On the Way For Hélio Castroneves!

He took this year’s title as the Indianapolis 500 champion and amazed his fans on the dance floor — eventually taking home the prized disco ball trophy — during his stint on Dancing With the Stars in 2007, but now Hélio Castroneves has his sights set on a whole new adventure: fatherhood.

The 34-year-old and his girlfriend Adriana Henao are expecting their first child — a girl — in January, Hélio announced.

While the couple originally considered naming their daughter Indy — later deciding it was a “little too much” — they have since settled on Mikaella.

As for tying the knot with Adriana, Hélio admits no plans have been made, but considers marriage the “natural next step” in his seemingly bright future.

“This year started very difficult, the middle was kind of a ‘Wow!’ and now this. This is a great ending for the book.”

I’ve been waiting for CBB to post this news.

I met Helio at Texas Motor Speedway in June and he is the biggest sweetheart. I love Adriana too. She seems to be very sweet and has made Helio an even happier man than he already is.

No doubt they will make great parents and Miss Mikaella is going to be beautiful.

Well…color my Spanish atrocious, but wouldn’t it be pronounced Mik-ai-ay-ah since two ll’s make a y? I will definitely admit I’m wrong if someone knows the rules to Spanish names lol.

Here’s another question about the pronunciation – here in Europe it would not sound anything like Makayla – more like: Mee-ka-ella – so i’m curious, in this case what’s the likely pronunciation?

We keep suggesting to Helio on his website that her middle name should be Indy after a place he loves.

Helio Tweeted about impending fatherhood last night and shared some pictures of his one year old nephew. You can just tell how excited he is.
