A newly sheared Pete Wentz cradles son Bronx Mowgli, 10 ½ months, at the San Diego Zoo on Wednesday as wife Ashlee Simpson-Wentz peruses a table of tie-dye t-shirts.

The couple were in town for Billboard’s Mobile Entertainment Live! Fall 2009 Conference the night before, where Pete served as keynote speaker.

Pete and Ashlee — married in May 2008 — spent about an hour at the Zoo before returning home.

Haha i’m getting a kick out of Pete’s new-do. But i like it! haha and bronx always has the cutest socks on! Pete’s face looks a tiny bit like adam sandler! or someone else i can’t point my finger on it! but he is short! i like this family a lot it’s just funny how different my life is from theirs! i would never pay admission to the San Diego Zoo for my family and only stay for an hour! i pay for a day we stay there for a day! but he’s younger than my step-kids!

Bronx is such a sweetie!

The San Diego Zoo is so much fun! It’s one of those places where you can spend the entire day there and still not see everything it has to offer.

Awww, Bronx is a cutie! And he’s still so blond – I wonder if his hair is going to change colour soon. If we lived near a zoo I’d totally buy a membership so we could go for just an hour at a time without wasting the admission money. Much more than that and my little one starts to get bored.

Since it’s kids get in free month, I am going to take the kiddos! I agree, we would be the the whole day! And be sore the next day!(For those who don’t know the San Diego Zoo is HUGE, which equals a lot of walking..lol)
