Kate Hudson and Ryder's Dinner Date

Actress Kate Hudson lets 5 ½-year-old son Ryder Russell lead the way as they leave Bar Pitti after lunch with Kate’s paramour, Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez.

The pair then stopped by a health food store for a little grocery shopping before heading home.

Babies are on the way for the family next year — Ryder’s dad Chris Robinson expects a new arrival this winter and Kate’s brother Oliver Hudson just announced wife Erinn‘s pregnancy.

Ryder wears an Appaman Puffy Down Coat in Black ($90).

I don’t know if the A-Rod baby rumors are true, it’s too soon to say (remember all those rumors about Kate being preggers with Justin Timberlake’s baby? What came of that? Oh yeah, nothing). I actually think A-Rod and Kate make a nice couple. It’d be nice if Ryder had some stability.

I agree with Jane 100%. It’s hard to say because I love the Yankees and Alex has mad his share of mistakes, but he has two little girls of his own that he should be focusing on.

And Kate, one day she says she is going to stay single, the next she is cavorting on the beach with some new guy. I just PRAY that she does not have a baby with Alex or anyone else for that matter.

A lot is assumed about this woman. None of us know her personally and it’s extremely unfair to assume that she is flakey and especially a bad mother to Ryder? That’s extremely unfair.

I LOVE A-ROD!!! I hope he helps the Yankees in the play offs, and they get to go to the world series (and win of course )!!! (Sorry my inner Yankee fan had to come out lol)

I feel for ryder kate has to many men around her son one day she is with this guy and the next day she is with another guy that is not cool she should wait and see if the relationship is going to work and has stability before she brings her son around

I like Kate however I wish she would stop introducing her son to every man she dates.I hope it works out with her and A-Rod.One positive Chris Robinson seems very invloved in Ryders life,so at least he knows who his dad is.Which is good considering the speed at which Kate seems to jump from man to man.

Wow! Harsh judgment for a woman we don’t personally know. I don’t consider myself to be a fan of Kate’s. However, I have to say, I don’t have any reason to believe she’s a bad mother. I would agree that Kate seems to have many boyfriends, but that doesn’t mean she is doing anything inappropriate in front of Ryder. I think Ryder is well aware of who his daddy is and I doubt he’s confused or upset by his mothers friend’s. He appears to be a happy, well loved little boy that spends a lot of time with his mother.

Jenna- So Kate shouldn’t be allowed to have a second child? That sounds a little harsh to me! I completely agree that Kate should be in a stable relationship before having another child…but to say that you hope she doesn’t have a child with anyone? Wow, just wow! That’s all I can say!

gargoylegurl- I couldn’t agree more! It could very well be that Kate just introduces these men to Ryder as “mommy’s friend” rather than as a boyfriend.

Chelsea- I agree completely! There were also persitent pregnancy rumors about Kate a year or two age, back when she was with (I think, anyway) Owen Wilson. Those rumors were squashed when she was seen in a bikini…with a very flat stomach! I can see why this picture is making people think the most recent pregnancy rumors are true.

However, I have seen other very recent pictures of her, and she doesn’t look pregnant at all. I think it’s just a bad angle and a not very forgiving coat in this case!

All of that said, it DOES rub me the wrong way that Kate seems to bounce from man to man all the time, and that she does it so quickly (i.e., she’s often seen with a new guy within a week of breaking up with her previous boyfriend). However, I also don’t think it’s right to judge her because of it. We don’t know the whole story, after all!

A-Rod is a womanizer. It’s only a matter of time before he starts cheating on Kate. Right now she goes to all of his games so he has no alone time. Once she starts having his babies and has to stay home while he is on the road, she’ll understand what his ex-wife Cynthia went through.

Kitty- How do you know that Kate’s going to have babies with A-Rod? I’ll actually be surprised if she does, to be honest (especially since she’s had numerous other boyfriends, and never had babies with any of them..even Owen Wilson, whom she was with for quite awhile, and even reconciled with a few times).

Also, we don’t know the whole story of what happened with A-Rod and Cynthia.
