I say end Jan.

I don’t think there is a baby boom, I think the media just places more attention on pregnant celebs now than they have in the past.

I tip my hat at parents who can have children that close in age. I too have a 13 month old and would probably cry to find out I was expecting again.

Can I just say…I absolutely HATE when pregnant couples pose like this – the awkward hand on the stomach pose. UGH. It’s so cheesy ‘Sears Portrait’ to me. It always comes off like the guy is proud of his handiwork or something. They’re always turned in a weird way and…I don’t know. It’s up there with the standard prom ‘standing spoon’ pose they make you do in high school. I vow not to allow this when I’m pregs.

Jennifer, ITA. We have a 3 year 4 mth gap which works for us (have posted about it before in related things) but I have respect for/kudos to parents who do, yikes! Guess you cope when you have to, & with Byron being older (mid-late 40′s?) probably they didn’t want to wait too long, I’m assuming anyhow, or may have happened earlier than planned of course. Either way wouldn’t be my preference either, would be panicking personally. I always said we’d wait til Sam was 18mths before looking at adding No. 2 bub but wasn’t ready, waited til he was at least 2 years, sadly had a miscarriage when he was 26mths, waited a few mths & hence we have a bigger gap but now am grateful. She’s now 21 mths and he’s just turned 5 and at school 5 days, find it a lot easier with older child who’s more independent and enjoys having little sis (although have nothing to compare it with) lol..all the best to them though, their life, their choice and all when they add of course, each to their own – and their little girl is a cutie!

She’s 37 and he’s 48, so if there was any crying it was probably tears of joy. I’m in my early 30s and found myself pregnant with our second child when our daughter was eight-months-old, so we were beyond shocked because it wasn’t planned (I was switching from one pill to another). Needless to say we have a girl and a boy, a little over 17 months apart, and couldn’t be more thrilled as difficult as it is.

I read a comment on this page about the dislike of the picture with the guys’s hand on the stomach. Well, I disagree. I think it’s cool, cute and natural. I wish the happy couple the best.

Whoa! And I’m still thinking how I just read about Chloe’s birth not so long ago, and now they’re in it for baby no. 2! Best of luck to them! :)

Lynn- I completely agree!
