Ana Ortiz: Love for Husband is 'So Much Deeper' Since Becoming Parents

Life with a newborn can be tough, but parenthood has only served to strengthen the bond between Ana Ortiz and husband Noah Lebenzon. “It’s incredible,” the 38-year-old Ugly Betty star recently raved to OK! at the Fashion Secrets of the South gift lounge in New York City. “It’s so much deeper.”

Before the couple welcomed daughter Paloma Louise, 3 months, Ana says she struggled to comprehend the significance of the “’til death do you part” passage in their wedding vows, but now she understands. “We are together forever,” Ana explains. “There’s no one I respect more as a man and as a dad.”

“He’s surpassing my dreams. I’m really lucky…He’s been changing diapers, he’s been getting up in the middle of the night walking her around, he’s been so hands-on and he still manages to be like ‘Baby, you look beautiful. My God, you’re so sexy, you’re so beautiful.’ I’m like ‘Are you for real?’”

Paloma was in attendance at the event because Ana “couldn’t get a babysitter,” but from the sound of things she served as pleasant company for mom. “She just started smiling,” Ana revealed. “It’s always in the morning, and it’s like she’s trying to laugh. It’s almost like she’s coughing — like a cat coughing up a hairball. It’s so cute.”

So cute, in fact, the couple are forging ahead with their plans to make Paloma a big sister. “The sooner the better,” Ana said before adding,

“We’re definitely looking forward to having a playmate for her.”

Freddie & Sarah Michelle Prinze Welcome Daughter Charlotte Grace

September is shaping up to be an exciting month for Freddie and Sarah Michelle Prinze! The first of the month marked the couple’s seventh wedding anniversary and now they are celebrating yet another milestone: the birth of their first child.

Daughter Charlotte Grace Prinze was born on Saturday, September 19th, a rep for the couple confirms exclusively to PEOPLE. “The family is over the moon,” according to a statement released by the pair.

Sarah Michelle, 32, and Freddie, 33, revealed the pregnancy news in April, and in the months following, the mama-to-be was spotted showing off her growing belly all over town. Next up for Freddie is his role on 24, which premieres in January.

Melissa Joan Hart: 'It's Emotional To Leave My Kids'

Appearing on Dancing With the Stars is a dream come true for Melissa Joan Hart, but now that her appearance on the hit reality show will coincide with her cross-country move to Connecticut, special preparations are being made for her two sons Mason Walter, 3 ½, and Braydon ‘Brady’ Hart, 18 months.

“It’s emotional to leave my kids,” the 33-year-old actress admits in a new interview with iVillage. Up until recently she has been able to practice with partner Mark Ballas at a local YMCA during the day; As a result, Melissa spent time with the boys in the morning or at night, was often able to do Mason’s drop-off and pick-up from preschool and was “always” home for dinner.

With the debut of the show on Monday, however, Melissa says “the hard part” has officially begun.

“Now I’m gone for a little over a week and then they’ll come see me for a week and then they’ll be gone for two weeks, and so on and so forth until the end.”

To help prepare the kids for her absence, Melissa acted on the recommendation of a teacher at Mason’s preschool and created a sticker calendar which shows the days she’ll be gone. She says Mason will also be keeping a journal for her, and that she left Post-it notes throughout the house “so every time they see a blue sticky note, they know Mommy’s thinking of them.”

In addition, the family of four — which includes Melissa’s husband Mark Wilkerson — will utilize iChat nightly. “Of course my husband is going to be TiVo-ing me on TV so they can watch and see what Mommy’s doing,” Melissa notes. “And they’re going to be coming out [to California] a lot.”

“We’re used to traveling. We’re always moving around. They’re used to a lot of flux in their lives, so it’s just another thing we’re going to have to get through, but it’s temporary. Even though it seems like it’s going to be forever.”

Leelee Sobieski's Childlike Cravings

Expecting her first child later this year, Leelee Sobieski has a theory when it comes to her pregnancy cravings.

“I think I like eating what little kids eat,” Leelee told PEOPLE at the season opening of the Metropolitan Opera on Monday in New York City.

Chowing down frequently on macaroni and cheese, Leelee, 27, says that she is preparing for the baby by doing two things: relaxing and eating lots of ice cream.

However, the Joan of Arc actress is unable to eat as much of the frosty treat as she used to.

“I eat less ice cream now than I did before because the baby takes up space,” she explained.

After announcing her engagement to fashion designer Adam Kimmel this past July, the Emmy-nominated actress says that while wedding planning has taken a backseat to baby planning, it has not been forgotten.

“We have pushed that back,” she said about her nupitals. “We are going to maybe do it in the spring.”

For now, Leelee — who is due in December — is staying focused on her upcoming arrival. She and Adam are keeping the sex of the baby a delivery surprise, but teases “even if I find out, I’ll keep it secret!”

Elaine Cassidy Welcomes Daughter Kíla

It’s a girl for Harper’s Island star Elaine Cassidy!

She and husband Stephen Lord welcomed their first child, daughter Kíla Lord Cassidy, on Wednesday, September 16th in London, her rep tells PEOPLE exclusively. Baby girl’s first name is pronounced “Key-la.”

“Stephen and I are absolutely delighted,” Elaine said in a statement.

Elaine and Stephen announced the pregnancy in March. The actress, 29, commemorated the event by posing for Fit Pregnancy‘s August issue.

Taye Diggs Digs Being Dad to Walker

Amid the chaos and anxiety that comes with being a newly minted father, Taye Diggs has emerged with that uniquely parental emotion: pure, unadulterated awe.

“It’s been amazing just to come home to that little dude,” the Private Practice star, 38, tells PEOPLE about the birth of his son, Walker Nathaniel, earlier this month. “Every time I leave the house, it just makes me want to come back even more. It’s just a great prize waiting for me.”

And that great prize seems to be the gift that keeps on giving for the first-time dad.

“I have a newfound respect and admiration that borders on worship of my wife,” Taye said at the American Cancer Society‘s Blow Out Cancer event at Spago in Beverly Hills. “Just to see her turn into a mother overnight is amazing.”

As much as he may never want to leave Walker’s side, Taye was actually filming a scene on his TV series alongside costar KaDee Strickland when the call came through that his wife, Tony-winning actress Idina Menzel, had gone into labor four days before her due date.

“We had people helping us, just to make sure that I would never be in an uncomfortable position,” Taye says with a laugh. “I had trained myself to just relax, and I knew that it was going to be a while before the baby actually came, so I was just trying to remind myself what I needed to bring.”

Suri Cruise Gets Girly

Outfitted in a flouncy skirt, a purse and peep-toe heels, Suri Cruise hits the town with mom Katie Holmes on Monday in Boston.

The duo strolled along Newbury St., dining at Sonsie before visiting with friends at Cafeteria, then heading to The Fairy Shop, where 3-year-old Suri picked out a few new toys and stuffed animals.

The Holmes-Cruises are currently in Massachusetts while Tom films his latest movie, Wichita, due out next year.

Suri wears Seed’s Flower Trim Tee ($40) paired with a Trelise Cooper skirt.
