Prince Lionheart pottyPOD: A Super Soft Potty To Start Things Off!

Prince Lionheart’s pottyPOD ($40-$44) is the perfect first potty to start training your little one on. It features a cushiony anti-microbial seat (that’s treated with an EPA approved anti-microbial additive), a non-skid height-adjustable base, a removable bowl and optional deflector shield.

Since we had such a hard time toilet training my older child, we decided to start using this with our 19-month-old—who’s been showing some signs of readiness. She loves sitting on the pottyPOD, which is made of the same soft EVA material as the Prince Lionheart BoosterPOD (read our review). The pottyPOD is easy for little children to sit on and it’s a breeze to clean—just lift the bowl right out when your child is done. The pottyPOD comes in green, pink and blue.

If you are looking for a training seat for your toilet, Prince Lionheart’s weePOD Training Seat (see above), also made of EVA foam, will be coming out this fall.

What’s wrong with using a regular toilet? My kids have never used a potty chair or even a potty seat and all have trained around 2.5 years, so they do still have small bottoms. NO one has ever fallen in or been unable to relax to do #2. Using a potty seat or potty chair, I believe, is unsanitary and just makes parents go through one more transition.

I think this is really for kids who are ready earlier. My kids have all been trained (2) girls by 18 months. My 3rd girl is just starting to show signs being interested (she turned one a week agO) so I am going to look at this potty as I just got rid of my bjorn. It is hard for a younger child to sit on regular seats.

looks like pee would be going right under the ring of that first one. what’s wrong with the Bjorn? I like the little Ikea one that is so cheap. looks like the small Bjron one. pee can’t go in any cracks as it’s all one piece. My kids were afraid of the real toilet and screamed.

yeah i think this might be for younger kids. 2.5 years seems a little on the late side to me. my kids were all potty trained by 18 months or earlier. i think it really depends on what works best for each individual child.

OMG, I am so happy this is featured! I just received one as a gift from my mother in law 2 weeks ago because we’re starting to potty train our 16 month. HE LOVES IT! He has already used it three times and he was so happy, all he wants to do now is sit on it! He wants to use it as a chair!!! This is so cute and so easy to clean, plus it’s got this pee cup thing for boys. I wish I had this with our first child.
