Leelee Sobieski's Childlike Cravings

Expecting her first child later this year, Leelee Sobieski has a theory when it comes to her pregnancy cravings.

“I think I like eating what little kids eat,” Leelee told PEOPLE at the season opening of the Metropolitan Opera on Monday in New York City.

Chowing down frequently on macaroni and cheese, Leelee, 27, says that she is preparing for the baby by doing two things: relaxing and eating lots of ice cream.

However, the Joan of Arc actress is unable to eat as much of the frosty treat as she used to.

“I eat less ice cream now than I did before because the baby takes up space,” she explained.

After announcing her engagement to fashion designer Adam Kimmel this past July, the Emmy-nominated actress says that while wedding planning has taken a backseat to baby planning, it has not been forgotten.

“We have pushed that back,” she said about her nupitals. “We are going to maybe do it in the spring.”

For now, Leelee — who is due in December — is staying focused on her upcoming arrival. She and Adam are keeping the sex of the baby a delivery surprise, but teases “even if I find out, I’ll keep it secret!”

Maybe it’s just the angle of this pic, but her face looks totally different to me…She reminds me a lot of Helen Hunt here (maybe it’s the hormones?). She’s really popped though; must be due very early December!

I have always thought she looked like a younger version of Helen Hunt. I think that the resemblance to her is absolutely uncanny. I’m glad to know that others see it, too!

She does look like Helen Hunt.. but, personally, I find LeeLee much more gorgeous.. Her eyes are fantastic!!

Yeah, the Helen Hunt comparison is nothing new. They’ve each separately talked about it in interviews, and they laugh about it. I think Leelee is glowing. It’s kind of fun to watch the teen actors I grew up watching have babies now. Congrats to them!

I feel it’s disingenuous for her to say they have pushed the wedding back to focus on the baby. If she is due in December, surely she knew she was pregnant when she got engaged in July.

I’ve always believed that we all have a twin out there and when it comes to Leelee I’ve always thought her and Helen could pass as siblings…..
