David Arquette Can't Believe Coco's in Kindergarten

Proud dad David Arquette says he was sad to see his 5-year-old daughter Coco Riley enter kindergarten this fall.
“[Courteney and I] were watching videos of her when she was two and she was just so cute,” he reminisced to Celebrity Baby Blog at Feeding America‘s “Come Together” charity dinner, held recently at Macy’s in New York. “It really does go so fast.”
Before jetting off to the East Coast from L.A., where the family lives, Coco had a small request, David shared.
“I said, ‘Coco, I’m going to bring you back something. What do you want?’ and she said, ‘A dress. Bring me back a long dress’ because she can wear dresses now in ‘big girl school.’ She’s just the best…so much fun. She really is great.”
The precocious little girl owes it all to Wes Craven‘s popular horror film, Scream. If it wasn’t for the movie, mom and dad may have never ended up together, David explains.
“We met at a pre-party before we started filming Scream. I was being a little cocky and Courteney was like, ‘Ah, I’ve heard of you,’ and we just kept flirting for a while. She’s just so gorgeous and she jokes around so much.”
So was it love at first sight? “For me it was, but not for her. I had to trick her,” he quips.
The couple, who have been married for 10 years, have signed on to star in the fourth installment of the Scream franchise.
“To work with Courteney again is amazing. We don’t have a script yet, so I don’t know what it’s about,” David notes. “If [Kevin Williamson's] script is up to par, then Wes Craven will direct it, which I’m really excited about.”
