David Boreanaz: Life is 'All Good' With New Baby

Baxter/ABACA

It’s been two and a half weeks since David Boreanaz and wife Jaime Bergman welcomed their second child, daughter Bardot Vita, and everyone is “happy and healthy,” the Bones star tells PEOPLE’s Celebrity Baby Blog. “It’s all good.”

Enjoying a short break at FOX’s Eco-Casino party on Monday, David compared the transition into fatherhood to the situation his character of Seeley Booth is working through on Bones, calling it a “very interesting road … looking at love, finding it and trying to apply it to somebody who really is special.”

Costar Emily Deschanel added that the new dad was a little “nervous before the baby was born,” but is now “just so happy. He’s excited to be a daddy again!” Calling baby Bardot “adorable,” the actress reveals that the proud papa is “always showing pictures of her [on set].”

The chemistry may be palpable between David and Emily’s onscreen characters, but off camera, it’s David’s 7-year-old son, Jaden Rayne, with whom Emily has formed a tight bond.

“It sounds terrible,” jokes Emily, “but we play like stuntmen. Basically we pretend to beat each other up. It’s so much fun. We tackle each other and it’s fun. You can say we play football together!”

Bones airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. EST on FOX.

Is Brennan pregnant on the show? We haven’t gotten the last season yet:-(

I can’t wait to see pictures of Bardot!

Sanja no she isn’t pregnant on the show. I just saw the new season last night and it really made up for last seasons finale!

Can’t get over that name.

The story about Emily and Jaden is too cute! And it also means that Jayden gets to visit his dad on set a lot which is a good thing. I’m glad it’s all well with their baby girl too, no wonder David is so happy and relieved after the bed rest and early labor scare.

Brigitte Bardot references aside, I truly don’t get why there was so much venom for this name. I think it’s elegant and pretty-and I’m not one for “out there” names by any means. Love the story about Emily and Jaden.

Aww, that’s sweet of Emily. Hope Brennan and Booth end up together eventually. :)

I am so happy for the two! But I also still do not like the name at all…

Jaden sounds just like me, I’ve been taking martial arts since I was 6. I think I remember seeing a photo of Jaden in a do-bok (karate uniform) a few years back. I wonder if he still goes, it’s a great activity for people of all ages!

I was watching the news yesterday morning, (my local station Action News Channel 6, WPVI) which is the station Bardot’s grandpa Dave Roberts works at and they introduced anchor Tamala Edwards’ new baby boy Rocko who was born the same day as Bardot.

I thought ‘How wierd is that?’ Two family members of WPVI giving birth on the same day.
