Corolle Doll Toys: Just Like Mommy!
Corolle Stroller |
Corolle dolls are Anya’s favorite dolls: she has Bebe Do and the Chou Twins so we were excited to try the doll accessories that Corolle makes.
The type of gear they make is comprehensive — almost as much variety as for real babies!
(Check out our comprehensive Corolle Doll review!)
Every child needs a stroller for their doll and the Corolle Stroller ($30, 22″ x 20″ x 15″) is an adorable umbrella-style version.
Available in Red/Fuschia, Floral Print and Blue/Green, you have options for both boys and girls.
Corolle has several other stroller styles including the Floral Print Small Stroller ($30, 21″ x 10″0″ x 13″) which is compact but has a different style fold than the other stroller; Navy Blue and Pink Carriage ($140, 30″ x 17″ x 22″) that includes a removable carrycot, has an adjustable handle and converts from a pram to a stroller seat; Floral Print Carriage ($85, 20″ x 24″ x 14″) which is a traditional pram that lifts off the frame to be used as a Moses Basket bed; and the Navy Blue and Pink Twin Carriage ($110, 20-30″ x 33″ x 16″) which is three-wheel tandem stroller with adjustable handle that fits two dolls, though Anya stows an extra one in the basket underneath. They also make a Floral Print Small Infant Carrier ($30, 7″ x 12″ x 17″) that resembles a car seat but doesn’t strap into the car or any stroller (which has been helpful in explaining to Anya that the new baby have a special baby car seat and that he can’t share hers!).
Baby Sling |
The Baby Sling ($30) is a front carrier that holds any 14-17 inch baby doll. I love that it can be worn on the front or back (just like a backpack) so your child can carry his baby just like mom and dad. It’s available in Red/Fuchsia and Pink/Navy Blue.
Doll Bed |
Dolls need a place to go to sleep so Corolle has a Doll Bed ($48, 13″ x 19″ x 11″), which is playpen style. We decided to get this to supplement the cradle Anya inherited from past generations because we have so many babies. The Doll Bed is great because it holds many babies. The toy bar with two dangling toys is a an adorable addition.
Corolle has three other options for sleepy dolls. They have two Moses Basket styles: the Floral Print Small Carry Bed ($26, 5″ x 12″ 6″) and Red/Fuchsia Carry Bed ($45, 7″ x 19″ x 9″). If you have the room, the money or a diva doll (or child!), you’ll need the Floral Print Canopy Bed ($75, 27″ x 19″ x 11″) which is a metal frame crib-style bed with rollers and of course a canopy.
Other accessories that will add to the fun include the Nursery Bag ($30) which includes a bib, cloth diaper, baby powder, changing pad and bottle; Baby Nursery Set ($30) which includes a ruffled cloth diaper, pacifier, changing pad, baby powder and baby lotion; Doctor Set ($26) which includes a stethoscope that makes sounds, otoscope, thermometer, syringe, mat and something that looks like a bottle and a pacifier; and Mealtime Set ($30) which includes a bottle, bottle warmer, baby food jar, bowl, spoon and bib. In the fall, they will also introduce the Baby Care Set ($30) which includes a towel, wash mitt, toothbrush, toothpaste and cup. All of the above include a carry bag with handle.
They also have several high chairs that I didn’t try. (We have another brand’s version.) There’s one last product that I think is pretty silly — a doll swing ($40). It’s exactly like a real cradle swing except doll-sized. I totally get the high chairs, swings, accessory kits, beds, strollers, because kids role-play those things and they’re interactive. But when you put a baby or a doll in a swing, you’re not interacting. But Corolle got everything else right so I’m not going to give them too hard of a time for this.
