Marissa Jaret Winokur and Family Hang Out in Hawaii

Sunny smiles all around for Marissa Jaret Winokur and family, who are vacationing in Hawaii this week! The actress and reality star, 36, splashed around on the beach with husband Judah Miller and their son Zev Isaac, 13 months, on Tuesday in Maui.

Earlier today, Marissa tweeted, “Zev loves the beach and playing in the sand!! and smelling flowers! last night we let zev swim in the ocean at sunset!! it was amazing.”

Zev is SUCH a cute kid! I was looking at some baby pictures of Marissa, and one stood out to me – one of her around Zev’s age. She looked IDENTICAL to him! I thought I was looking at Zev!

I can finally see some daddy in that little boy. I wonder if they will have any more kids.

Zev is one cute kid!!! I love how proud mama and daddy look when they have their pic taken with him….and they have every right to be =)

I have to ask this question, so no one get mad at me. Ok? Did they use Marissa’s egg and Judah’s sperm?

- Laura on

Laura-Yes. Marissa had her eggs frozen.

- Lacey on

Okay…. I am confused?? I thought that they weren’t his “biological” parents??

- Lisa on

BTW… he is a cutie and he does resemble them….

- Lisa on

Lisa, he should resemble them since they are in fact his biological parents! Before her illness, Melissa had her eggs frozen, so they were lucky enough to find a surrogate that would carry their child for them (her egg, his sperm). There’s no denying that kid belongs to both of them!

- Chicki on

Lacey, I thought I read somewhere that Marissa’s fallopian tubes are still intact and she can produce an egg but can’t carry a baby because she has no uterus. I could be wrong but never read that her eggs were frozen. Lisa, just because Marisssa and Judah used a surrogate does not mean they are not the biological parents. The surrogate simply carried Zev and is of no blood relation to him.

- Jana on

Lisa, they are his biological parents, but he was carried by a gestational surrogate.

Anyways, I love seeing pictures of them, they always look so incredibly happy that no matter how miserable I feel, I have to start smiling too.

As a fellow cervical cancer patient, I am so very happy for her that they had the option to save her eggs before treatment. I was under the impression from an article I read that she didn’t have radiation treatment, so her fallopian tubes and ovaries are still fully functional. (Not for me, I’m afraid, but I am already a mom to 3 healthy growing kids. Would have loved another one, but that wasn’t in the cards for me and my new husband. We are going to share our grandchildren.) That would mean that they still produce eggs. Her surrogate only carried that beautiful miracle for them. Which is a miracle in and of itself.

Life is awesome for this family, it seems. God bless them all their lives.

Zev is so absolutely adorable. Just precious. I could give him smooches all day long. I am so happy for them both. They seem like wonderful people. Gorgeous family indeed.
