Its small but it fits perfectly on her back because she is only 3. Most school bags are too big for our little ones and childrens place has the cutest bags for only 10 bucks and if you get their coupon, its cheaper =)

Once they are school age though (kindergarten and up) the backpack needs to be able to fit papers and books without needing to be folded, etc. so a regular backpack seems more reasonable…
