Kourtney Kardashian Agonized Over Whether to Keep Her Baby

Jordan Strauss/WireImage

Kourtney Kardashian‘s unplanned pregnancy forced the shocked reality TV star to make one of the most difficult decisions in her life: Would she have the baby or abort the pregnancy?

“I definitely thought about it long and hard, about if I wanted to keep the baby or not, and I wasn’t thinking about adoption,” Kourtney, 30, who was shooting E!’s Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami at the time, tells PEOPLE exclusively. “I do think every woman should have the right to do what they want, but I don’t think it’s talked through enough. I can’t even tell you how many people just say, ‘Oh, get an abortion.’ Like it’s not a big deal.”

Scott Disick, the baby’s 26-year-old father, was supportive either way. The pair had split in November after two years of dating, but reconciled shortly after finding out she was pregnant. “He wanted me to talk about it more, but I just kept to myself,” she says. “He said, ‘I really want you to keep it, but I will support you whatever you decide to do.’”

Confused and concerned, Kourtney says, “I called my best friend crying, and I was like, ‘I don’t know what to do.’ She said, ‘Call your doctor, and at least find out the risks and stuff.” So Kourtney discussed abortion with her physician, and then headed to the Internet to do further research.

“I looked online, and I was sitting on bed hysterically crying, reading these stories of people who felt so guilty from having an abortion,” she recalls. “I was reading these things of how many people are traumatized by it afterwards.”

After scouring the Internet, Kourtney says she started to realize that an abortion wasn’t an option for her. “I was just sitting there crying, thinking, ‘I can’t do that,’” she says. “And I felt in my body, this is meant to be. God does things for a reason, and I just felt like it was the right thing that was happening in my life.”

Kourtney says she did some intense soul-searching. “For me, all the reasons why I wouldn’t keep the baby were so selfish: It wasn’t like I was raped, it’s not like I’m 16. I’m 30 years old, I make my own money, I support myself, I can afford to have a baby. And I am with someone who I love, and have been with for a long time.”

Although Kourtney sought out the advice of others, she says it was her decision — and hers alone — that was the most important.

“I really wanted to think it through for myself, and not hear what my sisters were saying, or what Scott was saying. Even though I took it all in, I wanted it to be my decision,” she says. “My doctor told me there is nothing you will ever regret about having the baby, but he was like, ‘You may regret not having the baby.’ And I was like: That is so true. And it just hit me. I got so excited, and when I told Scott he was so excited. But I think if I had said I’m not going to keep it, I really think he would have pushed me into keeping it.”

Flynet

Jackass daredevil Johnny Knoxville will soon be a father-of-two. The 38-year-old actor is expecting a baby with girlfriend Naomi Nelson, his rep confirms to Us Weekly.

Johnny writes on his blog:

It was reported today that my girlfriend Naomi Nelson and I are having a baby and I gotta say that’s true. Woohoo!!! We have been together a few years now and felt it was time to start reproducing (if you know what I mean).

Anyway, we are excited as all hell, and can’t wait ’til the little booger gets here. My daughter Madison has already started becoming a big sister, too, and is helping pick out clothes, strollers, and beds for her new little sister or brother.

Okay then, I just thought you should hear it from me that it is official. We got us one on the way!

Love,

Knoxville

Baby-on-the-way is due in late winter, and will join Johnny’s daughter Madison, 13, from a previous marriage.

Baby on the Way for Colin Farrell?

Jason Merritt/FilmMagic

Touching down at LAX on Sunday, all eyes were on Colin Farrell and girlfriend Alicja Bachleda – who sparked pregnancy rumors by showing off what appeared to be a baby bump.

Polish actress Alicja, 26, whom Colin began dating earlier this year, reportedly rested a hand on her growing belly while making her way through the airport with her Ondine costar.

A rep for Colin, 33, could not be reached for comment.

If true, this will make the actor a father for the second time – he has a 5 ½-year-old son, James Padraig, with model Kim Bordenave. Of James – who was diagnosed with Angelman Syndrome in 2004 – Colin says, “[I'm] incredibly blessed to have him in my life.”

Jenna Elfman Says Story is 'Fearless'

Alexandra Wyman/WireImage

Life in the Elfman household might be chaotic by some standards, but Jenna Elfman wouldn’t have it any other way. “It’s not like my husband [actor Bodhi Elfman] and I are shy, quiet types,” the 37-year-old actress notes to PARADE, and it appears as though the apple hasn’t fallen far from the tree! The couple’s 2-year-old son Story Elias “is fearless,” Jenna says. “He’ll do flips over my body like I’m a human jungle gym.”

“There’s always a lot of laughter, music playing, lots of screaming and drumming and chasing each other around the house. We have a very happy, adventurous household. It’s awesome, and I’m proud of it. It’s alive in here.”

Citing her own experience as a dancer, Jenna says that keeping Story active — whether it is through gymnastics, swimming or dance — remains a priority. “I’ve found that being confident with your body is a very beneficial thing to living a healthy life,” she explains. “That’s why I want Story to have that, too.”

Whether or not Story will someday benefit from a little brother or sister remains to be seen, however Jenna says that all signs point to yes!

“We’re taking our time, but we’re definitely going to have another kid for sure. I’m a work in progress.”

Jenna can next be seen in CBS’ new fall sitcom Accidentally On Purpose, debuting Sept. 21 at 8:30 p.m.

Nancy Grace on Balancing Book and Babies: 'Working Moms Have It Hard!'

AP

During a recent appearance on Good Morning America to promote her new book The Eleventh Victim, former prosecutor Nancy Grace could not keep a glowing smile off her face. With host Robin Roberts noting that she was simply “beaming,” Nancy admitted that while the publishing of her book brought her a great sense of accomplishment, her happiness is mostly due in part to her 21-month-old twins John David and Lucy Elizabeth.

Behind the smile, however, is a “labor of love,” she says. Balancing the task of completing the novel with the demands of her family life has been no easy feat! “I started working on this book almost ten years ago and so much has happened since I first started it,” she explains.

“Since then I published another book, launched a show on Headline News…got married, got pregnant, nearly died, didn’t die, gave birth, and finished the book.”

The book, a novel depicting a former prosecutor who must confront killers and corruption, is not a far stretch of Nancy’s life, she notes. Although the main character in the book is a “much better person than I could ever hope to be,” the 49-year-old admits that her life is often reflected in the story line, beginning with the heroine, Hailey. “I never dreamed that I’d have a family … I always wanted a little girl and I thought I would name her Hailey,” she shares. “In the end I named her after my grandmother Lucy, but I thought when I started the book…I’d never have a child.”

While Nancy never envisioned herself with children, after marrying David Linch she was dealt a new set of cards when the couple welcomed their babies. “Since I married and had the twins, my life is so full of love and joy and I feel like this book came out right at the time that my life is the happiest,” she explains. That said, she warns future authors that finding time to finalize the manuscript can often be a struggle.

“I hear other people on TV talking about, ‘Oh, I did it when I was on the treadmill.’ That is BS! It was hard to finish that book; I would stay up until three or four in the morning … working moms have it hard!”
