Bonjour! Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt, 3, accompanied mom Angelina Jolie (not pictured) on a trip to the store on Friday morning in Ajaccio, France.
Angelina and partner Brad Pitt are also parents to Maddox Chivan, 8, Pax Thien, 5 ½, Zahara Marley, 4 ½, and twins Knox Léon and Vivienne Marcheline, 13 months.

it pretty obvious that Shiloh is a tomboy. I know a lot of people will love to see her in dresses and all that but i don’t think its going to happen at this age. All you have to do is that a look at Zahara and Shiloh’s wardrobe. Zee is all about pink and ballet flats and sprinkles on her clothes while Shi is about sneakers and boots and pants and wants to be called John!

Wow, that is ONE BEAUTIFUL CHILD!! She really does look like Brad but there’s no mistaking that those gorgeous lips of her’s are Angelina’s. I love the fact that she’s so light-haired.
Oh, and btw. I don’t think it’s wrong to dress your girl in tomboyish clothes. Why do you people have to be so sexist? Girls don’t have to look like princesses all the time!! Melissa- I love girly clothes so I too would love to see Shiloh in a cute little dress, but from what I can tell thats just not her. And I know that if my daughter doesn’t want to wear a dress, she does not wear a dress. And Im not going to make her. I don’t think its Brad and Angie’s doing, I think that this is just what Shiloh likes to wear. I picked my own clothes out since I was two years old, as did my daughter. I mean Brad did say at one point she was pretending to be Peter Pan.

I’m just curious as to why the boys’ hair always looks groomed (either cut, dyed, etc) and the girls’ hair always looks a little messy. Anyways Shiloh’s eyes look really sad, her eyes used to be so big and round. It might be from the sun though.

When we see pics of Shiloh, someone has to question why the parents dress her like a tomboy. When we see pics of Suri, someone has to question why she’s always in dresses and can’t be a normal little girl. The poor parents just can’t win. They’re just letting their daughters be who they want to be.

I can’t believe that in this day and age, people are actually sitting around and judging a three year old for not dressing “like a girl.” Maybe her parents realize that there are more important things to worry about than bows and pink lace. Maybe they realize that it’s not a battle worth fighting. Maybe, they want their kids to grow up knowing that what you wear doesn’t define who you are. Or maybe, they don’t really care what their kids wear.
And, does it really matter what a toddler wears to run errands as long as they’re clothed?

One of the last pics I’ve seen of her she was in a dress walking out of a grocery store. Now granted I’ve only seen a handful of pics of her this year. She has straight wispy hair. Another baby site had pics of this outing and a person commented that AJ favors the adopted kids because she wasn’t smiling in the pics. So she takes Shiloh on a mommy and me shopping trip and she she is still critized.Obviously Brad and Angie are free spirits when it comes to clothes,Brad wears illfitted wrinkled clothes Angie mostly wear blacks and earth tones.

Ok here goes…I have a beautiful 4 year old little girl who I sometimes dressed up for special occasions when she was a baby and when she wore dresses it was usually preppy lilly pulitzer or polo ralph lauren. I never put big bows in her hair or clips, I was never into that I always thought it looked funny, and no she doesn’t have her ears pierced either.
Also, my little girl decided this year that she doesn’t want to wear dresses insteads she would rather be comfortable in capri’s and this summer she refused to wear shorts…and I say so what?! No big deal imo. I get so angry when I see little girls at the park all dressed up to go to a park and wearing flip flops and then falling and getting badly hurt, there is nothing wrong with dressing a little girl down, ugh this really hits a nerve with me. Off my soapbox now!

Theres a little girl where I work. And she has a spiderman lunch box. They wear uniforms there, and she is three. A lot of the kids parents give into letting them wear whatever they want underneath their uniform. So every day little girls come up to me and show me their princess tops, flowery tops, etc. But this little girl comes up and what does she show me? SPIDER MAN! On pyjama day, the other little girls are in pink pjs with ice cream cones and teddy bears, but she’s in SPIDER MAN!!! (And shes so excited about it too)
I thought it was about the best thing ever. Why should her parents have to fight her and say, you know, thoese are boys clothes, lets wear these pretty ones. Kids, at three, they KNOW what they like and they know what they dont like. And they voice it. If Shiloh wants to wear pants and a shirt, let her! Shes not doing anybody any harm.
People on this site act like these celeb parents are neglecting their chilren by having a few misplaced hairs and not wearing what is “socially acceptable” Come on people, lighten up. They’re CHILDREN. These aren’t little adults. Let them be kids! Kids are picky, they’re messy, they fidget, some hate things in their hair, some love things in their hair, some hate tight clothes, some hate loose clothes, they go through phases. They’re discovering themselves and learning how to express themselves!!! That’s what you do when you’re THREE!!!! What’s wrong with that???
They’re individuals, I think it’s high time we respect them for their perfectly innocent 3 year old individualism instead of spending our time cramming them into a tiny box of what WE feel is socially acceptable. Some people are SO close minded it’s ridiculous.

Shi is going to be tall, she is already getting so big, not a baby anymore! I think Shiloh is ALL Brad, its ridiculous LOL. Shiloh definitely has her mom’s full lips, but its the shape of Brad’s + everything else is all daddy. Brad Pitt + Angelina Jolie have a lovely family together.

Why are some people catty and upset that posters are commenting on the way Shiloh is dressed? Is that not allowed? This isn’t the first pic I have seen of Shiloh dressed like a boy. I don’t mean just because she’s in pants, but even the colors and style of her clothing is boyish. It’s just an observation. I thought that is what this forum was for? I agree Shiloh can wear whatever SHE wants, but she has been dressing like that for a long time and I wish she too would be a bit more girly. I remember seeing photos of her ad Brad playing house outside when she was just a tot and she looked so girly and cute…I don’t think there is anything wrong with wanting little girls to be girly, but at the same time accepting them just the way they are and letting them be heir true selves.

it’s very sad that we still have very sexist views on how girls should dress, thinking that it’s a shame that parents don’t dress their daughters in really girly outfits. very sad! just think how nice it would be if grown ups could act their age and just accept that girls don’t always have to be dressed in pink and wear frilly dresses. the same thing happened in a recent britney post where jayden had a pink dummy (pacifier). it would never have occured to me that there was something wrong with that. and yet some ADULTS here commented on that. even my kids know that it’s ok for girls to have blue things, boys to have pink things and that they can all be whatever they want to be. seriously people, let’s move into the 21st century.

OMG, I don’t see Brad in her at all people!! She is the spitting image of her mommy Angelina. I have seen pics of Angelina as a little girl of Shiloh’s age and she looks just the same! The lips, the eyes, the blonde hair and everything about her. I have to say of all of the celebrity babies out there, Shiloh and Suri, Tom Cruise’s baby have to be the most beautiful little girls I have ever seen. Sorry Shiloh, if you’re a girl. you better start dressing like one. Take a leaf out of your big sister’s book and discover the wonder of pink and dresses. Better yet, put the two together; pink dresses! Add some lace, some frills and some bows and you’re good to go. You’ll be dressed just like every girl should.

I have no issues with her being a tomboy but she doesn’t have to look like one. I’m sorry but if her hair was shorter, the way she is dressed i would think she was a little boy. It’s just that both shiloh and zahara are alway messy looking all the time. They never look put together like the boys. So often we see pictures of Shiloh and zahara’s and their hair is a mess and their clothing seemed not meant for them. No offense to anyone but the way they take these girls out in public makes them look like their orphans, who have no one to take care of them.

Seriously, who are you to tell other parents how to dress/style their children? You don not know anything about the children’s personalities etc.
Having a girl myself, I see how adults and children’s peceptions can diverge sometimes – if I take a barrette that would suit her outfit I can be sure she picks another one which does not match at all – but who cares, I then put her choice in her hair.
For me this is one way to take her seriously.

Well,I wish Angelina dressed Shiloh more girly but I totally agree with Amanda.It’s more important what you have inside of you.Inner beauty is much more valuable as it consists of dignity,kindness,purity,knowledge etc.And maybe that’s what really matters in Angelina and Brad’s opinion.Shiloh is a beauty anyway.She doesn’t have to wear dresses to attract someone’s attention.

Shelley- I agree! That comment was just…well, there are no words for it, really. I also want to add that, as other posters have said, it’s very possible that it’s SHILOH’s choice to dress like this, not her parents’! I mean (and just to be clear, this is aimed at the posters saying she should be dressed more girly, not at you, Shelley!), what do you suggest they do? Hold her down kicking and screaming just to get her into a dress?
I realize that’s probably being a little dramatic, but geesh! As for Shi and Z’s hair….I don’t think it’s messy at all! Shi simply has, as other posters have pointed out, very fine, wispy, fly-away hair. And Princess Zee? She has a nice, natural afro.
Also, saying they never have their hair styled is laughable, as Shi was just seen with her hair in a ponytail the other day (Zee was in that set of pics, too. Unfourtnately, CBB did not post them.), and Zee Zee has been seen with her hair styled on occasion as well (the pictures from the grocery store outing back in late April being one example. She and Shi, incidentally, were also both wearing dresses in those pictures….and Shi’s hair was in a ponytail.).
In terms of the boys’ hair being styled all the time…Well, with Maddox, it’s called having very short hair (in recent pictures of him, you can see that he has a buzz cut). Pax’s hair is longer, but actually, in recent photos of him, Maddox, Angie, and Brad buying gerbils, it didn’t look anymore “styled” than Zee’s or Shi’s does.
Anyway, Shi is a cutie, and I hope we get to see Knox and Viv soon!

I think she has Brad’s eyes and the rest of her is Angie. It’s a shame so many people are critical of a way a 3 year old dresses. With 6 children, no matter how much money you have, there will be hand me down clothes to the younger ones. Considering this is a baby blog, I assumed most here were mothers. I must be wrong because it amazes me how a mother can be so critical of a 3 year old child.

Oh, and I want to point out that, when I was a kid, I loved playing with dolls, having tea parties, and playing with make-up (no, my parents didn’t approve of a little girl wearing make-up, and my mother has never worn make-up…so I had to do it on the sly at my grandmother’s house! LOL!).
However, I also loved wearing my brother’s hand-me-downs, playing with his action figures, and playing outside. Also, I often played games such as “explorers”, “secret agents”, or “Indiana Jones” with my brother.
Suffice it to say, I definently don’t think little girls should have to dress and/or be “girly” all the time!

I can’t stand it when people say girls should dress like girls. What does that mean? Is there a law that says girls have to wear pink dresses day and night? I’m happy that Angie and Brad don’t force Shiloh to wear something she obviously doesn’t want to wear. Zahara wears girly stuff probably because she likes it. Kids are people too and they have their own personalities. That’s the beauty of being a girl. Girls can wear dresses, pants, short or whatever they want. It’s a good thing.

She reminds me so much of my pretty blonde 4 year old, who’s a bridesmaid at a wedding today & is insisting on wearing an indian headdress along with her Mickey tats If she ever wears a fairy dress she rips it climbing a tree. hmm people consider this a ‘boyish’ outfit? i think it’s neither girly or boyish. and it’s actually how i used to dress when i was little and i wasn’t a tomboy. of course i liked pretty dresses too but those were for special occassions, and clothes like this were for everyday wear. i guess nowadays girls have to be dressed in bows and pink to be considered ‘cute’, that really annoys me!

I love that Shiloh is a tomboy! my 5 yr old wouldn’t be caught dead in a dress! She loves all things boyish and prefers her army green cargo shorts and black tees to anything pink or sparkly. For halloween last year she was the Incredible Hulk and is planning on being the bumble bee transformer this year. While I would like her to be a LITTLE more feminine sometimes, I let her where whatever she wants as long as its weather-appropriate. No pink tutus or frills for my little girl!

Her unusual clothing style suggests that she’s an independent, creative and unique thinker that’s being allowed to express herself naturally, without being stifled. She’s on a one-on-one outing with her mother, and has her full attention.

I think Angelina wants her daughter to be a rebel and weird like she was. I doubt that shiloh was picking out her black tomboyish clothes at the age of 1 when she was already being dressed this way. And these little girls are paraded in front of adults and taught to act all grown up? I don’t understand the problem with her clothes. If the shirt had been pink or purple, this would be a girly outfit. Her capris look very feminine to me. They’re adorable. She is an adorable little girl!
If she were wearing short shorts and a tube top, I could see complaining. If she were dressed completely like a boy from head to toe, I could understand someone commenting. But this isn’t really masculine at all. I was the girliest little girl when I was young, loved pink and bows, and I still had pairs of capris/cargo pants and earth tone colored tee shirts. So what it’s not dressy, she’s not going to a wedding.
On a different note, it’s so funny how she looks so much like Brad now, yet very similar to her mother did as a child. Angelina was fairly blonde as a kid, so I wonder if Shiloh’s hair will get darker.

From what I’ve read recently, Shiloh has taken to wearing Maddox’s cast-offs. I think she looks fine and healthy and happy.

When Shiloh was 1 she wasn’t picking out “tomboyish” clothing, but then neither was Angelina. If you look back at pictures from that time, Shiloh was seen in pink a couple of times and most often white. She wore dresses a bunch of times too. Angelina favors neutral solid tones but that doesn’t automatically mean “tomboy”.

Also, your comment about Angie and Brad letting the girls basically be their own people seems to be true, as Brad said in a recent interview with PEOPLE (well, actually, he was gracious enough to answer questions from PEOPLE readers!) that he and Angie try to support and nuture each of their kids’ personalities.

As for the rest. I love how seeing maybe 5 pics of Shiloh in the past year constitutes her dressing in dark colors and looking like a boy “all the time”. And I also love how that is only Angelina’s fault. LOL.

I agree with Liya. Shiloh has just Brad´s eyes. Look at that nose and lips! She´s all Angie´s! She is gorgeous and I love her style. Why girls should use pink? Think about that.

I love how posters can become arm-chair critics! Shi looks sad/Shi looks like tom-boy all the time! Well,WE don’t see them all the time.And to the poster who said Shi looks sad,have you thought that maybe she is upset that her lovely outing with her mummy is ruined by strange men taking pics and prob shouting questions at her and her mom!!
Also,that was a cruel comment,about Angie wanting Shi to be a rebel and weird?Why would you post that!And as for being neglected that’s a really sad comment.We only see brief insights into their lives,so stop trying to be experts.Shi is a beauty and she will turn out just fine.

After looking at that pic of brad as a baby I can safely say that Shiloh has to grow into her features. She’s a cute kid, but shes got really really strong features like her parents. Like big lips, big jaw, big chubby cheeks, shes going to make a beautiful adult. Her and Zahara. Who i miss!

wow! I can’t believe people are judging her outfit and writing about how little girls should dress. I don’t know about you other mothers but my 3 year old girl has an opinion on what she is going to wear and usually wants to wear sundresses and flip flops all summer (she does just fine at the park thanks!). Sometimes she wants a dressy dress and sometimes casual. She has narrow feet and flip flops are more comfortable for her than sneakers. She wears clothes and shoes and that is what counts. I would love to pick out her outfits sometimes but it usually doesn’t work out for me. As far as Shiloh goes, I am willing to bet she picks out her own clothes and if I had 6 children I would not waste my time arguing with 1 about what they are going to wear.

If Shiloh wore girly dresses, she would almost be too beautiful, although Shiloh is naturally beautiful, anyway, thanks to the genes of her gorgeous parents. I have to say their other children are adorable as well. Maddox, Pax, and Zahara are equally as charming and have good-looking features. But Shiloh is special because her features are stunning. They all have something unique about each of them, though. I hope these kids rely more on their brains when they get older, cause’ they already have the looks. They could do great things if they wanted, the sky is the limit for those kids.

Amy- I think Zahara is quite a stunner as well, actually. In some photos, she looks like she could be a model one day! I can’t wait to see the twins again. I’m sure they’re just as beautiful as their older siblings!

Shiloh is a very cute little girl. And the pics of her with her mummy having some mummy-daughter time are beautiful. She has grown a lot lately and she really looks like a miniature version of her dad. I hate those people who critize her clothes. She can wear whatever she wants. Maybe she´s going through the boy phase right now and wants to wear her brothers´ old clothes. I remember when my younger brother was three years old he refused to wear any kind of clothes which had yellow or red because they were “girls´s” colors. Maybe Shi wants to wear dark colored clothes because her mum wears a lot of black clothes. I think that Angie adores her little blond-haired daughter a lot. She most certainly doesn´t favor their three adopted (God I hate that word!) over their three other children. She and Brad love all those six equally. Can´t even imagine what Zahara´s life would have been like if she´d stayed in that Ethiopian orphanage. Maybe she wouldn´t even be alive anymore. Now she and her siblings have loving parents. Shi will be a beauty just like her mum, big sis and little sister.

LOL. I have to disagree about Shiloh being “stunning”, beautiful and pretty yes but stunning no. Her lips are best feature but there nothing captivating about blond hair and blue eyes.

I have to agree with Jessica, like I said before I think she’ll be a very good looking adult. I don’t think a baby or young child can be ‘stunning’..I also think Zahara is just as beautiful as Shiloh. I’m curious to see Vivienne as she seemed to look even more like Brad than Shiloh. Brad is a very handsome man but I’m not sure if his looks translate as well in girls.

It never fails to amaze me the amount of negative opinions aimed at this family. It’s also always obvious as to who the tabloid readers are, because of the “facts” that guide their opinions.
Shiloh is 3, she has ideas about how she wants to dress. Period!
And the comments about the children looking like orphans and uncared for? What planet do you people hail from? How obnoxious and self righteous of you?

I don’t think anyone sane thinks it’s wrong to not dress your daughter like a princess. Some people just like to see little girls dressed girly. I myself wonder what Shiloh would look like dressed girly and I’m not at all into the frills and lace princess look on little girls. Saying that doesn’t mean that I think that the way Shiloh dresses is wrong at all.

Kati- Zahara almost certainly wouldn’t be alive anymore had Angie not adopted her. I remember reading an article in PEOPLE magazine shortly after she was adopted about how sick she was and how she ended up in the hospital….and the doctor that treated her (Dr. Jane Aronson), said straight out that Zee would have died if Angie hadn’t adopted her. Thank goodness Angie did adopt her!

Vivienne does look like Angie there! I know that Angelina had blonde hair when she was younger and it got quite dark in her early teens.

But CBB and other don’t always post pics of Zahara. There was a really cute one of her and her Dad recently in France and i didn’t see it on People or CBB 
Shame, so cute. She had a really beautiful and happy smile on her face. I have noticed though that most sites don’t post the happy smiley pics of the Jolie Pitts.
