I want to urge parents to research the swine flu vaccination prior to having it given to their children. I’m not a doctor, but am crazy about arming myself with knowledge when it concerns my children (which is why I started my blog).

Here’s a starting point for learning more about swine flu vaccination history: http://bit.ly/erARx.

I certainly won’t be signing my kids up to be test subjects! Who know what long term effects and side effects there could be while scientists try to figure out the right dose…

Yes, let’s just panic, panic, panic and pooh-pooh anyone who even thinks about vaccinating their kids with a *gasp* flu shot. Every year different flu vaccines are made to deal with the current strain of flu. It’s not like they are testing the AIDS vaccine on them!

I’m with you Amber. My husband works with the general public and frequently has customers who come from all over the world. I would rather not take the chance of him spreading anything to our infant. She’s much too fragile to take chances.

I have two very healthy teenage daughters but their pediatrician has always said they didn’t need a flu shot because they have no underlying medical conditions. They will not be getting the flu shot this year either. They have had the flu once in 5 years. They practice good hand washing and they carry hand sanitizer in their purses/backpacks for when handwashing isn’t practical.

I am not against vaccinations. I just choose to vaccinate them as recommended by their doctor.
