Candace Cameron Bure Feels Too Young To Have a Preteen

As new doors open, old ones close. While Candace Cameron Bure is elated with her new role on Make It or Break It, the recent opportunity also means her time spent living in Florida with her husband Valeri Bure and their children Natasha, 11, Lev, 9 ½, and Maksim, 7 ½, is quickly drawing to a close as the family must relocate to Los Angeles. “It’s a little hectic at the moment because I’m trying to find a school for my kids, but I’m born and raised here so it shouldn’t be too difficult,” she tells Celebrity Baby Blog.

Although the Full House star admits she will miss both her church and the children’s school — her only reasons for staying in the Sunshine State — there is also much to celebrate in addition to the big move: Natasha will be starting middle school! “[It] is a little freaky because I don’t feel old enough to have a middle school child,” says Candace.

With her passage into the preteen years coinciding with “huge milestones” — prompting much discussion between the mother and daughter — the actress, 33, reveals her daughter’s independence has always been a part of Natasha’s personality.

“She’s that kind of child, but she’s still a mommy’s girl and I have her in my protective bubble as much as I possibly can. She’s okay with that.”

Love her, love her new show! So glad she’s acting again.

I saw here speak recently at a church in Chandler, AZ and she was great (as was her husband who also spoke).

Candace and family are so awesome! 11 year olds need to be 11 year olds not 11 going on 22 year olds. Keep up the good work!

It is good to have your children when you are young, not too young of course, but pre-35. I did not and the gap gets bigger as you and your children age.

Does anyone know where Candace goes to church in FL?

“I have her in my protective bubble as much as I possibly can.”

That is exactly how I intend to raise my kids. I was raised that way, and I honestly can say I had the most “normal” childhood anyone could ask for. Yes, I was naive, but children should be naive. There is too much crap in the world that kids are exposed to nowadays…

the church the family attends in fl is Calvary Chapel ft. lauderdale in pompano.

Mom Said It

"I had to make a decision that I could sleep with every night. I did feel responsible for the young girls who I probably confused and let down. I apologize for that. But I wasn't trying to glamorize teen pregnancy."
