Besides they might be called something totally different in school, my class mate Martin was called Zed from middle school and onwards, only reason being that his older brother resembled the older brother of a movie character, so people started calling him like the movie caracter! He was never confused, his mom was the first couple of times someone called and asked for Zed thoug! :-)

All my family members call me by my Chinese name but my friends call me by my Christina name.

Maybe Sasha/Sammy became too confusing LOL both “S” names.
