It’s a boy for Tom Cavanagh! The actor and wife Maureen Grise welcomed a son, James Joseph Cavanagh, on Wednesday, August 5th, PEOPLE has learned exclusively.

Baby James – who weighed 7.8 lbs. and was 20 inches long – joins older siblings Thomas Patrick, 2, and Alice Ann, 3 ½.

The former Ed and Love Monkey star and his wife, a photo editor at Sports Illustrated, have been married for five years.

Tom, 45, was recently on TNT’s Trust Me opposite Eric McCormack and is currently prepping to star in Hairbrained.

Congrats Ed and Maureen. I always thought the “ed” show was enjoyable. A Letterman product.

I agree that it’s nice to see “normal” names for a change! But I guess at their Hollywood schools THEY will be the ones with the weird names compared to all the other kids LOL
