How about talking about how Suri seems to enjoy art? There have been many photos of her with crafts and artwork she shows to Tom and Katie. All people can think of are pants still. Oy.

How many other celeb children do we see on playdates with other children? None that I can think of! So why wonder if Suri has playdates just because we don’t see those pictures?
I am sure she has lots of playdates but photos involving other children with celebrity offspring causes, I should imagine, quite the headache for paps and magazines with litigation issues! In the UK you have to have the parents permission if it is intended for publication.

I think Suri growing her bangs out has really made her look older. They were probably walking from one trailer to another so she wasn’t outside long. Some kids are natually hot (I have one!) so it’s not a big deal if they aren’t bundled up all the time.

Jody and sharon- Actually, Suri was seen in a cute jacket just a few weeks ago. I’m guessing the reason she doesn’t have a coat on is because they were just going straight to the trailer, and thus were only outside for a few minutes. It’s pretty obvious from what Tom has said that Suri doesn’t like wearing coats, so maybe they decided not to fight her when they were only going to be outside for a couple minutes.

tesori – Gee, it was just a simple question. It’s not like I have to know the answer. I just haven’t read any interviews where it has been brought up or seen any pictures, which I KNOW doesn’t mean anything. It just interests me, as a teacher, to read about how kids play with other kids. All the pics we se of just Suri with Kate made me wonder a bit. No harm or even judgement in that.

I don’t think Tigmode meant anything mean with the trousers comments, I think people just need to stop being so sensitive about Suri posts. Honestly, some people seem to just lie in wait for a comment they can percieve as negative. Lol funny!

Jody, freezing? I think it’s been pretty warm for winter lately. It was sunny and 18′C (66 F) today. Walking my dog today I wished I hadn’t worn a jacket as I was getting too warm.
Anyway, Suri is cute and I’m glad to see Tom back with his girls again. Does anyone know when filming on this movie ends?

I wonder if the people who always go on about Suri not wearing coats, pants etc actually have toddlers?
You cannot make a 2 or 3 year old wear anything they don’t want to wear – they just scream the place down and rip it off!
And they seem to have a remarkable ability to stay warm. Probably because they are always moving.
As I type, my two year old is running around in just a nappy, having shed the warm top and jacket I put him in this morning. It’s winter and it’s freezing, but he is happy as a pig in mud.
Lucky I don’t have paps hanging around to capture the moment or I would be considered a terrible parent, too…

Hea- I understand what tesori meant. The fact is, we see most celeb kids Suri’s age with their parents rather than other kids (except for their own siblings if they have siblings). For example, when’s the last time we’ve seen the Jolie-Pitt kids, the Klum-Samuel kids, Marcia Cross’s girls, or Harlow Madden playing with anyone other than their parents, caregiver, and/or siblings? Yet it seems to be only with Suri that people (not just you, Hea. Lots of other people have made comments about whether Suri plays with other kids in the past) wonder if she ever plays with other kids. I think that’s what tesori was getting at.
All of that said, I’m going to just come right out and ask you, Hea….When you see the Jolie-Pitt kids, Marcia’s girls, or other celeb kids with their parents all the time, do you wonder if they ever play with other kids? Or is it just Suri you wonder about? If so, why is that? I’m not in anyway trying to bash you. Just as you were doing, I am simply curious and am asking some simple questions.

Oh, and Hea, Katie mentioned in an interview just a few months ago that, at the time, Suri was attending art and music classes (the family was in NYC at the time, as Katie was doing her Broadway play “All My Sons”). I’m guessing there were other kids there. Also, in article posted on PEOPLE about Suri’s third birthday, it mentioned that she celebrated “with her friends”.

CelebBabyLover – Oh, I’ve thought about them as well. It is a bit different though when kids have siblings their own age. It’s obvious that they have access to play mates, even if it is their brother and/or sister.
I also have found myself to wonder a little more about Suri since people often focus on her clothes. Her clothes are always neat and perfect and you never see a grass stain. Sometimes it “looks like” their mother daughter relationship borders more on that of girlfriends or matching look alikes than parent and child. I don’t think I’ve ever seen them playing in a park where there are other kids? Not that you have to.
Oh well… I am sure that Suri is a happy little girl. I’d just like to see her play more but then again, that would probably mean that the papz would trespass more in her life than they already do.

I have a 2 year old and i know it is not easy to tell them to do something they don’t want to do. But Suri is 3, Katie should try to explain to her that it is cold and she has to wear a coat or at least not let her wear a top like that. As a mother, I try not to judge the way other people raise their kids. I am sure Katie is a good mother, but sometimes i cannot help but think that she is a lazy mom too.

CelebBabyLover, thank you that was what I meant. I wasn’t having a pop Hea perhaps I didn’t explain it very well, but I don’t know why people always focus on the same thing with this poor little girl.
She is gorgeous and only 3yr (she is a week younger than mine so I feel for her) and it appears (and this isn’t aimed at anyone! just generally) people not liking the parents lifestyles seem to make unnecessary comments on the back of it! I never hear all this about ANY other Celeb Child.
I like having a snapshot of the Celeb lives, seeing the clothes, where they spend their money etc. Why can’t it be left at that rather than where’s the playdates,pants, coat, hair scissors!!

tesori- Couldn’t agree more! I also agree with Lorus about the coat thing. The post says they were heading to the make-up trailer, and it’s likely that they’d just come out of another one (Katie’s personal trailer, perhaps). Therefore, they were probably only outside for about two minutes or so, thus a coat wasn’t all that neccesary.
Also, Suri could very well be, as Lorus pointed out, naturally hot-blooded. I am that way myself, and have been ever since I was a kid. I wear short-sleeves year-round (except in the summer, when I wear sleeveless tops), and I don’t own sweats or flannel shirts or anything like that. I also walk around in the winter with my coat unzipped more than I walk around with it zipped. No matter if I zip the coat or not, I always rip it off the second I get indoors!
Anyway, my point is that maybe Suri is that way as well, and they figured it didn’t make sense to force her into a coat when they were only going to be outside for a few minutes and she was probably going to rip it off the minute they got inside anyway!

tesori – I guess I didn’t quite understand you because I very very rarely comment about Suri or read the comments about her. I’ve just been glancing at the pics. So this is new to me. I didn’t base my question on my opinions on Tom and Kate and how they live their lives. I don’t know anything about them and that. I just asked because I’m curious and interested.
I prefer to see and read about playdates rather than shopping when it comes to celebs though. But that’s just me. I’m not much for gossip and superficial things.

Hea I totally understand where your coming from. Unfortunately all you will get on these kind of Blogs is gossip and superficial things. School & playdate info other than “xxxx had a nice day at the park with their parent/parents/nanny” would cause a bit of a security issue with some of these little darlings. Sad, but true. Unless of course there was a Celebrity Baby Playdate or Party!

tesori- Again, I agree. The one exception is if a celeb kid is having a playdate with another celeb kid. Then you might see it here (just as CBB posted pictures of Kingston Rossdale and Ruby Maguire having a playdate several months back!).

I also want to add that a lot of celebrity kids’ playdates are probably held behind closed doors, at either their house or their friends house. Therefore, the paps can’t take pictures of those playdates.

MDD- I think the Holmes-Cruises look fine in this picture! Tom looks happy, but also possibly a little tired (which is understandble with a three-year-old around!), Katie looks just she’s concentrating on something (and often times, people don’t have much of an expression on their faces), and Suri looks like she’s just not too pleased with the paps.
Anyway, I don’t know why people seem to think the Holmes-Cruises should have smiles on their faces 24/7. I mean, no other celeb family seems to get these types of comments (and MDD, I assure you I am not singling you out here. Plenty of other people have made commets similar to yours on other Holmes-Cruise posts). Even posts about Victoria Beckham, who rarely ever smiles, don’t usually get posts about her not looking happy.
All of that said, there are other very recent pictures of the Holmes-Cruises being all smiles.
