Jerry O'Connell's Grocery Gals

Fame

Someone’s got his hands full! Pulling the shopping cart in one hand and pushing his twins’ stroller in the other, Jerry O’Connell was spotted making his way back to the car after grocery shopping on Tuesday in Calabasas, Calif.

Dolly Rebecca Rose (blonde) and Charlie Tamara Tulip (brunette) — who are teething! — may be home with dad while mom works during the day, but at night, he’s hitting the books! The actor began evening classes at Southwestern Law School this week.

The twins, 7 months, are Jerry’s children with wife Rebecca Romijn.

Jerry pushes a Double Decker Twin Stroller ($295). The girls are in Graco SnugRide infant car seats ($160) in Platinum with Itzy Ritzy Baby Ritzy Rider infant car seat covers ($110) in Leopard and Fuchsia Minky Dot. (Please note that manufacturers recommend against using third-party accessories with their car seats.)

Look at those cute little tater tots!

I love seeing a daddy out with his babies!

- Allegra on

Darling! But, Jerry, give them some shade :) How odd (but good) that he’s taking law classes. I wonder why…

- Xan on

Hey Jerry … you need a stroller that will shade these poor babies. You are doing a great job except for that.

- Gigi on

C’mon people! He just walking through the parking lot to his car. The kids are fine.

- danigirl on

Doing a great job “except for that”? Talk about a drive-by.

He’s walking from the inside of the grocery store to the car, and beyond that, babies do need SOME sun exposure.

The way people criticize on this site, you’d think the world was made up on perfect parents.

- Jen on

Poor things do need some shade. Their scrunched up little faces have that saying of, “Can you spare me some shade here? I’m trying to get some shut eye, but the sun is in my eyes!” :)

- FC on

He’s only taking them across the parking lot! They will be fine in the sun, sun is healthy for you too.

- Anna on

Adorable girls!

Seeing as Jerry was just walking from the inside of the grocery store to the car, I truly doubt the babies are in harms way. If used while on a walk, that’d be a different story.

- Liliana on

Jerry and Rebecca got some flack for the same thing a few weeks ago…also while they were walking just from car to inside or vice versa. I think the girls are fine for the short walk to the car.

- Beth on

Give over on the sun comments! geez.

How many dads would do groceries with twin 7month olds in tow?!?
Perhaps more than I’m giving credit to…
But I love seeing him out with his girls. Refreshing that they have no help! (or so it seems)

- Christine on

Yeah, Jerry, c’mon, you should have COMPLETE CONTROL over the SUN SHINING! what are you THINKING having the SUN SHINE on their faces for ABOUT A MINUTE!?!?! QUICK CALL CHILD PROTECTIVE SERVICES!

OMG, you people need a life.

- SH on

omg – i wanna eat them up! is that bad? they’re so adorable…and jerry and rebecca seem like good, concerned, hands-on parents. i think the twins look different – one like mama, and one like papa, but they’re so darn cute!!! i’m getting to like the name charlie…although I’m not sure I’ll ever warm up to Dolly….ah, guess I’ll have to think of her as Rebecca…no harm, it’s a nice name.

- cara on

I remember in my early naive days of parenthood, no doubt sleep deprived as hell, heading to the supermarket to do the weeks grocery shop with my stroller and then realising – d’oh! how the hell was I going to manage the stroller AND trolley?!

Needless to say, it only happened once. But I recall a kind fellow mother did stop and help me out, which was awesome.

- traxie on

They are too cute!!! Please people the sun is NOT going to kill them in that short walk. Anyone else think it’s odd one is blonde and the other is brunette?

- JILLIAN on

I LOVE the Itzy Ritzy carseat covers!!! Just bought the same one for my dd! Adorable family!

- JennyMiller on

Cute pic, double daddy-duty + Apparently Jerry just enrolled in Law School. There was article on PEOPLE-very cool.

- Mia on

Adorable little girls! My husband wants twins…but I doubt he’d be willing to venture up to the store with them like Jerry is!!

And no it’s not strange that one is a blonde and one is a brunette. They’re fraternal twins, not identical twins.

- Robyn on

Beautiful baby girls! They seem to resemble him quite a bit. I’m sure that will change, but they have such round cute faces like their dad.

- Brianne on

Be still my heart. I think I just got a celebrity crush! Jerry’s looking mighty hot in that picture. Add to that he’s grocery shopping WITH his twins. Lordy! My husband wouldn’t venture anywhere with our twins alone, EVER (they’re almost 4). What an awesome Daddy!

P.S. You sun commenters, get a life. Seriously.

- MammaDucky on

I love this photo. He always seemed down to earth to me and this makes me believe it even more. Nothing beats seeing a dad wrestle a grocery trip with kiddos! I’m sure Rebecca is quite aware she landed one great catch! :)

I want to THANK YOU for adding the last bit about not using 3ird party car seat covers. Alot of people do not know how dangerous they can actually be. Anything that did not come with your car seat and comes between the harness straps and your child is not encouraged by the manufacturers but also VOIDS the warranty. If your in a crash and the car seat doesn’t work properly the company is completely free of any problems that the seat may of originally had when bought! Many parents do not know this.

Besides that there twins are adorable!

- Melissa on

OMG….THE SUN….OH NO!!!!!!!!!!! LOL. Cute pic!

- LB on

why do so many people think its amazing that a father is going shopping with his kids? I am stunned that many of you think your partners would not do this. Gobsmacked. I’d divorce any man who was so pathetic. You want kids, you have to help raise them…and that includes shopping trips!

- lopsy on

What precious, healthy looking children. Rebecca has really ‘lucked out’ in the husband dept. Jerry, you deserve a “Father of the Year” award! My husband won’t even take out the trash…
