The way a woman’s belly looks is determined by the size of the baby, the way the baby is lying in the uterus, whether the pregnancy is a first pregnancy or subsequent one (since the abdominal muscles get stretched out after the first baby is born, the belly usually looks different in subsequent pregnancies), and the shape of the uterus (some women have abnormally-shaped uterus. Usually, when the uterus is abnormally shaped, it is shaped like a heart.).
