Kathryn Hahn Welcomes Daughter Mae

AXELLE/Bauer-Griffin

It’s a girl for former Crossing Jordan star Kathryn Hahn and husband Ethan Sandler! After two difficult days of labor, the 35-year-old actress welcomed daughter Mae on Monday, July 27th. Baby girl — who was not due until September — weighed in at 5 lbs., and both mother and daughter are reportedly doing well.

Originally, RadarOnline reported that the early arrival temporarily halted production on the upcoming Reese Witherspoon/Jack Nicholson film How Do You Know, as Kathryn — cast as a pregnant secretary — was on set when her water broke Saturday. The website now reports, however, that the actress had just one day of filming left and will complete her role once she is able.

Mae joins big brother Leonard, 2 ½, at home.

Bid On Hart-Wilkerson's Hand-Me-Downs!

Call in the moving trucks! Actress Melissa Joan Hart and her husband Mark Wilkerson are packing up and heading to the east coast, where they plan to settle down and raise Mason Walter, 3 ½, and Braydon ‘Brady’ Hart, 16 ½ months. With the big moving date drawing near, Melissa is hoping to unload some of the family’s belongings and has turned to handmedowns.com for help!

Melissa is no stranger to hand-me-downs; she received many of Mason’s toys from a friend of hers, only to pass them on to another friend, before getting them back for Brady! This time, however, the mother of two is hoping her donations will benefit Friends of the Family in Van Nuys, a charity that is dedicated to helping people better their lives. “Friends of the Family is a truly exceptional organization,” says Melissa. “They help abused spouses get free of the abuser. They help children that are shy find their voices. They help teen parents stay in school, find jobs, and learn how to be good parents.”

The donated duds include Mason and Brady’s moses basket, Melissa’s moses basket from when she was a baby, the complete Orbit stroller system, Mason’s Radio Flyer Rocking Horse, and a plethora of the boys’ stuffed animals. Of the items to be auctioned off, Melissa can’t help but rave about her go-to baby stroller. “The Orbit system is incredible. It’s not only sleek looking, but it is the most functional system out there,” she gushes.

While each item is sure to have some sentimental value to the family of four, Melissa is determined that others benefit from her good fortune.

“My boys are very blessed and spoiled and I thought it was time to pass [their toys] on.”

The auction began yesterday and will run until Wednesday, August 5th. Head over to handmedowns.com to place your bid!

Constance Zimmer on the 'Amazing' Evolution of Mother and Child

Michael Kovac/FilmMagic

It’s sometimes hard to feel fulfilled by a newborn baby, but Constance Zimmer has a message for new moms — hang in there! Speaking to Celebrity Baby Blog at the Buzz Girls Creatives Dinner in West Hollywood on July 14, the 38-year-old Entourage star said that taking life with baby “one day at a time” is the best piece of advice given to her since welcoming daughter Colette Zoe, 18 months. “They change so much, you can’t stick to one lesson,” she says. “It just doesn’t work.”

“I feel like that goes especially in the beginning. When they’re not doing anything and you’re like, ‘God, just give me something,’ and then all of a sudden they’re giving you too much. And you’re like, ‘Wait, woah!’ So I would say…definitely just take it one day at a time, because it really evolves into something amazing.”

Something else that has leaves Constance in a state of amazement are spill-proof bowls! “That snack cup works for anything, any size snack, it doesn’t matter,” she shares. “Today I was at the zoo with [Colette]…She ran around with that thing in her hands, jumping up and down, and nothing fell out. It’s fantastic.” As for what is often found inside, Constance singled out dried snap peas. “[They] are like the best snack ever,” she says.

Colette is Constance’s daughter with partner Russ Lamoureux.

Josh Holloway on Baby Smiles: 'It Just Makes My Heart Explode'

Limelight

In his first public comments on fatherhood since welcoming daughter Java Kumala, 3 ½ months, Lost star Josh Holloway admitted that he’s hesitant to reveal too much. When asked at last week’s Comic-Con in San Diego about baby girl’s latest milestones, the 40-year-old actor told Celebrity Baby Blog, “I don’t want to talk too much about her,” before adding with a laugh, “She’s got them though…all sorts!”

It’s safe to say that smiling is definitely on that list, however!  The proud papa couldn’t help but rave about his favorite moment of the day with Java.

“It’s just those smiles every morning…When I first get to see the little bean smile. I’m like, ‘Oh my God.’ It just makes my heart explode.”

Noting that life with baby is “so rich and so difficult and wonderful” all at once, Josh says that having a baby has put his life in proper perspective. “I don’t care how everything else goes now as long as I’m a good father,” he adds. “That’s the journey, as everyone knows who has children.”

“That’s a journey, but we’re solid and we’re good and we love it.”

Java is Josh’s first child with wife Yessica, whom he married in 2004.

Marisol Nichols: 'We Are Officially a Family'

Amy Graves/WireImage

Actress Marisol Nichols never doubted that she and her husband Taron Lexton were a family, but when the couple welcomed their first child last year, the label suddenly hit home.

“We are officially a family,” she told Celebrity Baby Blog at Bel-Bambini‘s VIP reception on July 17th.

An avid fan of the children’s line — half of 10 ½-month-old Rain India‘s nursery is from the store — Marisol laughs that she loves nothing more than to stock up on clothes for her daughter!

“I’m more attached to the clothes for her than anything,” she admits, adding that baby girl has staked her claim on her Vulli Sophie the Giraffe teething toy.
