Cat Cora Welcomes Son Nash Lemuel

Mike Coppola/FilmMagic

A fish out of water no more, it’s another boy for Iron Chef Cat Cora and wife Jennifer! The couple welcomed son Nash Lemuel Cora at 4:41 p.m. on Sunday, July 19th according to her rep. Baby boy weighed in at 7 lbs., 5 oz, and measured 20 inches in length.

Nash Lemuel’s name is inspirational for Cat, 42, and Jennifer on many levels; Meaning “the adventurer,” the couple thought it would be an appropriate moniker given the miles their fourth son logged in utero!

In addition, they note that Nash will share a name with the poet Ogden Nash as well as scientist John Forbes Nash, whose life is depicted in the film A Beautiful Mind. They go on to note that Lemuel — Hebrew for ‘Gift from God’ — is Cat’s maternal grandfather’s name.

The pregnancy was announced in March. Nash joins big brothers Thatcher Julius, 3 months, Caje, 2, and Zoran, 5, at home.

Angie Everhart Celebrates Her Baby Shower

Bruce Martin for use on CBB

As a recognizable redhead, model Angie Everhart could have gone for an over-the-top baby shower, but instead chose an intimate “sprinkle” hosted by the Hot Moms Club and held at Melissa Joan Hart‘s Sweet Harts Sweets on July 17 in Sherman Oaks, Calif.

Joined by mom Ginnie and a few pals, including Kristy Swanson, Marla Maples and Maeve Quinlan, the guests created their own sundaes while Angie — who isn’t “one for pastels” — opened her black gifts, including a Quinny Buzz stroller and a Tinky Bebe diaper bag.

Seventh Generation also donated diapers to both Angie and the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

With Angie set to deliver son Kayden Bobby on July 29th via scheduled c-section, her friends are lining up to provide support for the new mom.

“I am so proud of Angie! She is so strong, and she will be a wonderful mother as her own mother was to her,” Kristy said. “She has a fantastic family and friends. She knows I will be there for whatever she may need.”

“It doesn’t really bother me,” Angie, who gifted her girlfriends with jewelry from Waxing Poetic, says of single motherhood. “I have so many good people around. I’m not afraid.”

“Angie and I have been friends for over 14 years,” 90210‘s Maeve explained. “During that time have shared many life changing experiences together, side by side — dating, marriage, divorce, careers — and through everything Angie has always been a rock for me and hopefully me for her. We have a bond. Kayden is truly a very lucky little boy having this amazing woman as his mother.”

For more details and photos from the shower, pick up the current issue of Life and Style. In addition, Angie’s nursery will be featured in the October issue of Pregnancy, on newsstands this fall.

Kelly Ripa Resorts to Baked Goods as Bribery

Anthony Dixon/WENN

When in doubt, resort to bribery! At least for Kelly Ripa, who’s not afraid to pull out all the stops in parenting when Sunday’s weekly church service rolls around. “The kids know if they’re good at church, they can go to the bakery after and pick out whatever they want, so they have incentive to not goof around in church,” she explained to OK! during the Electrolux Virtual Lemonade Stand.

“It’s just an hour a week that I ask them to be reverent — that’s it.”

Despite her creative solutions to every day obstacles that arise in parenthood, the co-host of Live With Regis and Kelly admits she is not immune from losing her patience. Case in point? Battling traffic each week during the family’s weekend beach getaways to their Hamptons home! “I try not to get angry that often, but it probably has something to do with traffic,” she says. “Driving out to Long Island, just in general, every weekend and sitting in traffic.”

Fortunately for the kids — Michael Joseph, 12, Lola Grace, 8, and Joaquin Antonio, 6 ½ — time is passed doting over their dog Chewie!

“She’s a spoiled lady. She’s got three kids that scratch her and play with her all day long.”

For Kelly, when the going gets tough, her husband of thirteen years has become the yin to her yang. “He’s incredibly patient and responsible,” she gushes of Mark Consuelos. “He is consistent. He is stern, but loving. He’s involved.” According to Kelly, he is also a great partner to watch Anderson Cooper 360 with each night! “We know Anderson, we love Anderson, he’s very knowledgeable and we just like to see his thoughts and feelings on the world. It’s kind of what we do.”

In addition to the nightly news, Kelly also manages to relax with her daily jogs and her love of baking. “I like to bake cupcakes,” she shares. “I like to do projects with the kids. Stuff they can do too.” That said, nothing brings her as much comfort as a fresh load of laundry!

“I like to do laundry a lot. More than I should, probably. It’s an obsession at this point.”

Tsukihoshi: More Than Just a Pretty Sneaker

Retro

Style doesn’t always need to come at the expense of substance, and Tsukihoshi sneakers ($45 and up) are proof. I’ve been a fan of this company for about a year now, ever since our older son started wearing his Euros ($57). They quite simply never give out. What’s more, they continue to smell and look great months and months after he started wearing them because they are machine washable and the cup-insole coated with Green-Tea Polyphenol acts as a natural deodorizer. I can attest to this first-hand! Read More
