Heidi Klum's Humpty Dumpty Theory, Explained

Tom Meinelt/Splash News Online

In a playful appearance on Live with Regis and Kelly, supermodel Heidi Klum joked that her heritage has a lot to do with her ever-expanding brood. Of husband Seal she quipped, “I never let him rest,” before adding, “I’m very German…That’s it.” The couple are currently expecting their fourth child, and second daughter; Heidi revealed that if big sister Leni, 5, gets her way baby girl will be named Susie, while big brother Henry, 3 ½, is partial to the name Vanessa.

Having two boys and two girls “is perfect,” according to Heidi, who proceeded to share Seal’s theory on how each of their children came to be. Hedging at first — telling co-host Kelly Ripa that it was an “off-camera conversation” — Heidi eventually gave in!

“My husband has a theory because they do say that the girl is a little slow in swimming … But they don’t die as fast; The boys are very, very fast but if they’re not there at the right time they might die…When we kind of looked back at the calendar, after we found out, we looked back and he was like, ‘There is something definitely to this.’”

When co-host Regis Philbin struggled to connect the dots, Heidi did so for him! “There’s no headstands or any strange things happening,” she said before clarifying,

“When the woman ovulates and you do the humpty dumpty on the day you’re ovulating, then you are more likely to have a boy on the day of the humpty dumpty. If you do the humpty dumpty on the days you’re not ovulating, you’re more likely to have a girl.”

One thing is for certain, Heidi will be paying much closer attention to when she does the ‘humpty dumpty’ going forward! “The shop will be closed,” she says of having more kids. “Definitely!”

In addition to Leni and Henry, Seal and Heidi are parents to 2 ½-year-old Johan. Baby-on-the-way is due in October.

Kelis: Knight is 'Kinda Perfect'

Charles Eshelman/FilmMagic

Expectant moms are often told that the pain of labor and delivery immediately subsides once a newborn baby is placed in your arms, but Kelis isn’t buying it! Tweeting on Twitter early Thursday morning, the 29-year-old R&B songstress — who welcomed son Knight just hours before — shares,

“I was in labor for 3 of the longest most painful days of my life. I don’t understand when women say they don’t remember giving birth. I will remember for the rest of my life. He’s kinda perfect [by the way] :)”

Calling her son “7.8 pounds of the greatest stuff on earth,” Kelis is clearly smitten! New motherhood is “so amazing,” she writes before adding,

“I’m a a loss for words.”

Almost! Just a few hours later, a jubilant Kelis updated her fans yet again with the happy news that both mom and baby were heading home: “Me [and] Knight are takin’ our first car ride today! Woohoo!”

Knight is the first child for Kelis and the second for her estranged husband Nas, who is already dad to 15-year-old Destiny, from a previous relationship.

Kendra Wilkinson Heading East for Baby and Husband

Amy Graves/WireImage

So long Hollywood, hello Philadelphia! Kendra Wilkinson reveals in a new interview with E! that she’ll soon be trading in the glitz and glamour of Southern California for a lower-key life in the City of Brotherly Love.

“I need to get away and hibernate for a little and be a protective mama,” the reality star — currently expecting her first child with husband (and Philadelphia Eagle!) Hank Baskett — explained. “I like the energy there. They leave me alone. I feel way more private [in Philly] than here, and that’s what I need.”

Although the couple eventually intend to settle on the West Coast, Kendra said she’s looking forward to delivering her winter baby in snowy surroundings. She adds,

“That’s where a real Christmas is. I want to have a real Christmas baby in a real Christmas place.”

Baby-to-be is “a kicker,” Kendra says, and the couple are anxious to learn whether her intuition is correct at their anatomy ultrasound in the coming weeks. For now, Kendra is focusing on having a happy and healthy pregnancy; To that end, she’s not worrying about the baby weight — which she predicts “will go away very fast.” Sharing that she is craving Japanese cuisine like teriyaki chicken, rice, soy sauce and ginger salad, she adds,

“If I gain weight and that’s what it takes to make my baby healthy, that’s what has to happen.”

The fears she earlier expressed about delivering her baby-on-the-way have eased, with Kendra noting that “it’s only a little bit of pain for a lifetime of happiness.” That’s not all that’s changed, however! Kendra says that the stripper pole mounted in her home will soon be making an exit. “Not forever, but for a while,” she explained with a laugh. “It will be hung up in the closet.”

Josie Bissett Stresses Respect, Love Between Siblings

Barry King/WireImage

While some parents view sibling rivalry as a fact of life, Josie Bissett isn’t among them. “It drives me absolutely crazy when my kids fight, the sound of them fighting and not getting along,” she tells Examiner. “I don’t go for it at all.” Instead, the 38-year-old actress tells Mason Tru, 10, and Maya Rose, 7, that they “need to treat each other with respect and love each other,” and Josie employs a zero tolerance policy on disrespect. “It doesn’t mean it doesn’t happen, but I just don’t believe in it,” she says before adding:

“My son says, ‘Hey, Mom, all siblings fight.’ And I say, ‘Why do they have to?’ I challenge him on it. Just because you see [other people] fighting doesn’t mean you have to act that way. They’re starting to get it.”

Although she’s found success, Josie says she is hesitant to encourage Mason and Maya to pursue careers in the entertainment industry. She’ll keep her opinions to herself, however, because she believes that “the most important thing in life is to find what we all love to do.”

“If my kids decide to be actors and really, truly love it and are passionate about it, then I would definitely want to help them along their way, but it’s a tough business. I think what I want for them most is stability and happiness — and however they decide to find that is up to them, and my job is to be there and guide them the best I can.”

An accomplished author, Josie says that on the horizon is a book by children, for children, dealing with divorce. “I want it to be from the child’s perspective,” she explains. “I want to interview children who have come from divorced families and adults who come from divorced families.” Noting that divorce “is not a fun thing to go through,” Josie says that it was Mason and Maya who helped her most when she and ex-husband Rob Estes separated. She adds,

“I think that every decision I made came from what’s best for the kids. If both parents have the children’s best interests in mind, it’s going to go OK. The second that the parents don’t do that, it gets ugly.”

Catch Josie on the CW this fall as she reprises her character Jane Andrews-Mancini on the new Melrose Place.
