Kathryn Hahn Welcomes Daughter Mae

AXELLE/Bauer-Griffin

It’s a girl for former Crossing Jordan star Kathryn Hahn and husband Ethan Sandler! After two difficult days of labor, the 35-year-old actress welcomed daughter Mae on Monday, July 27th. Baby girl — who was not due until September — weighed in at 5 lbs., and both mother and daughter are reportedly doing well.

Originally, RadarOnline reported that the early arrival temporarily halted production on the upcoming Reese Witherspoon/Jack Nicholson film How Do You Know, as Kathryn — cast as a pregnant secretary — was on set when her water broke Saturday. The website now reports, however, that the actress had just one day of filming left and will complete her role once she is able.

Mae joins big brother Leonard, 2 ½, at home.

wow I can’t imagine how scary that must’ve been.
That said, I had no idea she was even pregnant again. But I love the name of her children.

I didn’t even know she was pregnant! Congratulations. At least the baby is healthy despite her early arrival.

Was Kathryn’s first pregnancy written into the final season of Crossing Jordan?

lynn-

it was. and actually, her real life husband played lily’s love interest on CJ

I also didn’t know she was pregnant again. But I’m glad everything is OK. Mae is such a pretty name.

Congrats to the happy couple and big brother. I love the name Mae. She was on “Crossing Jordan”, wasn’t she? I miss and love that show..

I highly doubt that these facts are entirely true. NO doctor in their right mind would allow a woman in such pre term labor to just sit around and go through it for two days. The health risks would be far too high for mother and baby.

Patrice -I agree! either she was not due in September or the labor was much shorter.

Wow she had the baby on my Birthday sweet

Patrice, I respectfully disagree. Usually when someone is in preterm labor they try everything they can to delay the birth. Even if it’s only a couple extra days. This way they can give the mother steroid injections to help the baby’s lungs develop as much as possible before delivery. I would assume she was in the hospital and being monitored. Yes, when the water breaks there’s no going back but every day counts when a baby is preterm!

Wow, 2 days of labor. Glad everyone is healthy though! Congrats!
