Ashley Jensen Expecting First Child

Ugly Betty star Ashley Jensen, 38, and her husband, actor Terence Beesley, are expecting their first child in the fall, a rep for the actress confirms exclusively to PEOPLE.

In a bit of of life imitating art, Ashley found out that she was expecting after her character on the hit show went through pregnancy and birth this past season. Ashley, who studied acting in England, met her hubby while they were performing King Lear. She received an Emmy nod for her role on TV’s Extras in 2008.

Ashley — “excited” about being pregnant — is not slowing down anytime soon. She’s currently working on the new Jenna Elfman sitcom, Accidentally on Purpose about a woman dating a younger man who finds out unexpectedly that, you guessed it: She’s pregnant.

Oh I loved her on Ugly Betty…but why did she leave the show? did she get killed off?

no they left it open for a come back. She had what was thought to be Wilomena’s baby but it ended up being her and her estranged husbands baby. She ended up getting the baby back and her and her hubby are taking the baby back to scotland I think it was? to raise him with family.
She was good on the show but maybe she got a bigger role in this other sitcome?

Ugly Betty is still on here in the UK so shes still in it, but I’m going to miss her on it.
Thank god I have my Extras boxset to keep me laughing.
