Model turned mom! Angie Everhart became a first-time mom on Friday, July 24th when she welcomed her son, her rep confirms to Life & Style. Baby boy Kayden Bobby Everhart made his entrance into the world via c-section at 11:28 p.m., weighing 8 lbs., 4.9 oz and measuring 21 inches in length.

“Both mom and baby are doing very well,” reads the statement. “Kayden is so handsome.”

Angie announced the pregnancy in February, sharing that she would be raising baby-on-the-way as a single parent. Just last weekend, the excited expectant mama — who is the new face for Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula anti-stretch mark products —  celebrated baby’s upcoming arrival with a sprinkle and dished to CBB on her favorite pregnancy moment. “The best part is when the baby moves,” she said. “He lets me know he’s there.”

Awesome! I love the name Kayden! Especially since it was for her mom.

It was an accident that I clicked on this link in my favorites just now, actually. I wasn’t expecting there to be anything new at this hour! You guys are dedicated.🙂

Wishing the very best to the new mom and her new son. Can’t wait to see a pic to see if he has her red hair!🙂

Nika, she probably just went into labor so they had to move up the C-section.

Can´t wait to see the baby!

I absolutely love the way Angie chose the name, but I’m not a fan of the name itself. Congrats to the family!

I don’t know why but I had a feeling she’d go into labor before her scheduled C-section. Can’t wait to see his picture!

Why does a first-time mother need a scheduled C-section?

Marisa on

Mira, she has back problems. There was something about it here earlier this week. She said she wanted to deliver naturally but it’s not an option for her with her health issues.

Congrats to Angie.
Now someone please tell me why the c-section police have to question EACH FLIPPING WOMAN’S motive for a c-section. How about, “none of your freaking business”. I mean seriously…why do you care?
I hate people asking me why I had one (my daughter was double footling breach). It is stupid that I have to explain and defend myself for having a c-section.
I would LOVE if just one time, a woman has a c-section and NO ONE wonders “why”.
Sorry…that was just my little rant for the day🙂

Mallory- I agree! My mother also went into labor before her scheduled C-section with me (I was breech).🙂

That said, it’s also possible that Angie purposely gave an incorrect date in order to throw of the paps.

In response to Mira’s question:

Some women have a scheduled C-section for many reasons:

1. Pelvis is too small
2. Baby is larger than her frame to deliver naturally
3. Maybe she chose to have one just like Britney Spears

I had a scheduled c section as a first time mom. Why? Because if I labored there was a chance my uterus would have ruptured and the baby and I would have died. Everyone’s medical history is different. For me, the most important thing to have a live, healthy baby. How you get there is your business…
