Style doesn’t always need to come at the expense of substance, and Tsukihoshi sneakers ($45 and up) are proof. I’ve been a fan of this company for about a year now, ever since our older son started wearing his Euros ($57). They quite simply never give out. What’s more, they continue to smell and look great months and months after he started wearing them because they are machine washable and the cup-insole coated with Green-Tea Polyphenol acts as a natural deodorizer. I can attest to this first-hand!
I was happy to learn that Tsukihoshi recently unveiled a slew of new shoe designs, while retaining the four “special features” — balanced landing, arch support, light and flexible, barefoot-like comfort — that I’ve come to expect from this brand. Our younger son is now rocking the brand new Retro style ($60) and I love it. The colors are flashy and fun, and I know from experience that these shoes are more than just a pretty face. Other new styles include Glitter ($56) and Explorer ($60). Almost every pair comes in varying boy/girl shades, and is available in baby sizes 4-7, toddler sizes 7-13 and youth sizes 13-5.
