Kelly Rutherford's R&R With Hermés and Helena

Tickling the ivories under 6-week-old Helena Grace‘s watchful eye, Kelly Rutherford enjoys an afternoon of rest and relaxation at the Sierra Mist Beach House, attending a barbecue with friends on July 11th.

The Gossip Girl star, 40, also did a little cake-testing with son Hermés Gustaf Daniel, 2 ½ (see extended post)!

Hermés and Helena are Kelly’s children with estranged husband Daniel Giersch.

Aw, look at that little baby! She is paying close attention to her mom and those piano keys. I think Hermes is a combination of both parents, and Helena looks more like her dad at the moment.

Aww, its too bad that she had to go through this pregnancy by herself and things turned out the way they did, but you have to be happy and you have to love those kids any way that you can. They both have to be civil for the children’s sake. They are the kids and you are the adults. Hope everything goes smooth for her and her sweet children!

Mimi- Techincally, if Kelly was going to shield her kids, that would mean that she’d also have to avoid taking them out in public so that the paps couldn’t photograph them. Helena obviously is way too little to care about being able to go out of the house, but for Hermes, keeping him inside just to keep him shielded would be extremely unfair to him.

At his age, he needs, and probably wants, to be able to go on fun outtings from time to time.
