She also stopped for a snack and then headed to a prenatal appointment.

Due this fall, the baby will be the first child for the Grey’s Anatomy star and husband Chris Ivery.

She looks great but I would have to say that my bet is on a baby boy. My belly looked identical with my son but not my daughter (higher & pointier). That is just my guess though!

I’m still guessing that it’s a girl, but I don’t have personal experience of pregnancy so all the baby bumps look identical to me

@sofia : lol we’ll find out soon enough, they started shooting the new season of greys last week so we’ll get new interviews on set in the next month I think and I’m sure they’ll ask what she’s expecting. Considering Ellen Pompro is a very private person, I don’t she’ll tell us the gender but she’s due in september, we’ll know soon!

Definitely my favourite preg-celeb. She looks stunnigly great. Always did, but was extremely thin. Now looks more healthy. Something like Nicole Richie. Pregnencies just suit them.

Isn’t predicting the gender of the baby by the shape of the belly a total old wives’ tale? Everyone I’ve ever spoken to with any kind of medical or midwifery training has said that the shape of your stomach when pregnant is entirely dependent on your own personal anatomy and how your frame is built before you got pregnant. It amazes me how many people will say “That’s a boy belly!” or “That’s a girl belly!” (and usually both of those comments will appear in reference to the same belly!); obviously half of you are going to be right. No, that’s the belly of a woman with a small frame, a baby of a specific size and position, an active lifestyle, an individual diet, and her own personal genetic code.

Really Laura. I think people are smart enough to know that you can’t predict a babies gender from the size of shape of a woman’s stomach. People are just having fun, no need to rain on it.

there is no way you can predict sex based on belly shape.
and to dee.. harsh just a little?
there are still loads of people on here that actually still believe that you can tell the sex by the size of the bump.
she had every right to point it out that it is total fiction.

@Dee: I’m really sorry, I didn’t intend to come across as condescending or a killjoy. I have nothing against people making guesses as to what gender a baby is going to be; I often wonder myself. It’s just that a lot of people present the size/shape of a pregnant belly as definitive evidence of a gender, not just as a joking guess. I myself know people who have taken similar comments as fact; I don’t think it was because they “weren’t smart enough” to realise that it’s all in fun. Some comments ARE quite serious, and some people believe that it’s true.

She may appear to be cute but I really don’t like the way she dresses during the pregnancy.It’s so…plain.A long time ago there wasn’t that variety of clothes for pregnant but now there’s plenty of comfy and still beautiful feminine outfits.

In this picture, she really looks like she’s in a commersial with her glowing skin and her flowing hair!

I agree with KLM and Cheryl, she really does seem to love her training gear, even her dresses seem to be t-shirt material. But hey, as long as she likes it, I don’t really see the problem, besides I don’t know how she dresses in private when she is not pregnant either, for all I know, she might wear the same kind of clothes and there is really no reason to change your style just because you are pregnant unless you want to yourself.

As for the shape of a womans belly, it depends on two things; the womans shape and frame (outer ans inner) and the baby’s position in the belly. The later is why a woman can look totally different each pregnancy.
