Klean Kanteen: Safer Sipping
![]() |
In the four years I’ve been using Klean Kanteen reusable water bottles ($18-28), the comments I’ve heard have changed from ‘what’s-that-strange-bottle-your-child-is drinking-out-of?’ to ‘where-can-I-get-one-for-each-of-my-kids?’ Everyone wants a stainless steel drink container these days and no wonder — with all the crazy things going on in the world of plastics, it’s nice to know that stainless steel isn’t leaching a single unpronounceable thing into your child’s drink.
And Klean Kanteen bottles have come a long way in the last few years. Now available in a gorgeous array of colors, the new bottles are painted on the outside with a non-toxic, acrylic, resin-based finish, have an assortment of accessories available (like caps and protective sleeves) and are dishwasher safe. They also come in a variety of sizes so mom and dad can have a great drink container, too (there’s even a wine carafe!). Plus, unlike some of the other metal sippy cups I’ve tried, these ones really don’t leak.
All the conveniences of plastic bottles and none of the dangers. Now that’s a sippy I want to pack in my diaper bag.
