Coronation Street star Simon Gregson, 34, has welcomed his second son, and it appears as though baby boy was in a hurry to join the UK soap’s famed baby boom! Harry Gregson was born two months prematurely on Sunday, July 12th.

Although his early arrival was no doubt a surprise, his parents were prepared on at least one front — a name for their newest addition! “Harry is my grandad’s name,” Simon’s fiancée Emma Gleave explained previously. “We kind of knew it was going to be a boy, and when they told us at the hospital we weren’t shocked.”

Harry joins big brother Alfie, 23 months, at home.

Best wishes to the family, and my prayers go out in hopes that their son is strong and healthy.

12 Weeks Pregnant on

I hope the baby is in good health and doing fine, Harry is a great name!

Didn’t Kym Marsh from the show have her son, Archie I believe (?), early, as well? But he didn’t make it?

Congrats to the family and I hope he is strong and healthy!

Yes Sarah Kym did have her baby boy Archie early but he didn’t make it because she was only 22 weeks pregnant

Yes, Kim Marsh’s son Archie Jay died after being born very prematurely, think it was back in around Feb? Very sad. am a fan of Coro St, congrats to the new parents. Like both their sons’ names. As the mum of a son born 6 1/2 weeks prem who was under 4pds in our case due to preeclampsia, know how scary that can be, not easy or ideal when bubs is still there but best place for them of course while being cared for. I hope he’s doing ok, growing and getting stronger, and is able to come home from hospital soon.

I had my son 13 weeks early and he is going to be 10 this year, i’m sure that the scbu team are helping the family out and that once he comes home the shock will go as it takes along time to deal with a premmie birth. Big love to the family and hope he is home soon xxx

Mom Said It

"We weren't trying to have kids. We left it up to fate. I knew there was a possibility, but I was really excited. Even if you are trying, just to see a positive result is shocking!"
