What does a babies kick feel like? I dunno I can’t imagine getting kicked from the inside.

Anon, it’s hard to explain. The first time I felt my son kick, it was like a bubble popped inside of me. One of my girlfriends likened it to a shampoo bottle that you turn upside down, where you see the bubble slowly go from the bottom of the bottle to the top, where it pops. I felt like that was a pretty accurate description. Sometimes, as he got bigger, the kicking didn’t feel much different than it would on the outside. He’d kick my ribs and it hurt same as if someone had taken a stick and poked me hard in the ribs on the outside. I can’t really describe the other kicking, when he was bigger and it didn’t hurt. It’s just kind of a weird sensation, but very cool. I had a rough pregnancy and feeling my son’s kicks was the only part of pregnancy that I enjoyed. Now that my son is 5 months old, I miss that feeling sometimes.
